I paid above MSRP from my distributor. I didn’t buy it at release because I wanted to see the game. I was willing to pay a little above MSRP since my distributor has treated me right previously on multiple games. Given the fact that games are so hard to come buy, I figure he needs the extra profit to keep the lights on until games become more readily available and his volume can increase. That plus the fact game is technically sold out and has been for awhile justified a higher price in my mind.
I know this runs counter to the unwritten Pinside rule that requires almost everyone to complain about the price. I want the lowest price as much as the next guy, but customer service adds value and there is definitely a goodwill factor on both sides here. No one is forced to buy a Pinball Machine, but in this case I wanted the game ans price was, given the circumstances not unreasonable in my opinion.
