I'm in. Love the theme. Can't wait till it's time.
Quoted from onemilemore:Is he Ferret? Perhaps he can chime in - he's very active here and his work on Hot Wheels is fantastic.
Yes he is and I see he's still quite active on the Oktoberfest Owner's club so my guess, and it's just a guess, is that he's allowed to do contract work for other companies and maybe he's a contract employee for AP??? Hopefully he'll chime in and let us know, seems like a great guy and his work on Oktoberfest rules was really interesting.
Is it possible they reached an agreement to use continued code? That really made the game fun IMO and would definitely heighten my interest in it.
I own the three other CGC remakes; all popular with my guests, and have solid reliability.
I'm sure this Cactus Canyon remake will be well made too. Going to pass though...
Call me when/if you redo Big Bang bar
Poll needs another option: I'm going to wait and see what they do with code, etc. before deciding. That's where I'm at.
Quoted from RobT:Are you involved in the code Eric?
I am not programming for CGC, no.
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Was this just a reference to there web site?
Yes. Contact them about it. If they'll have a list or something and when you can order.

So your sayin there’s a chance…. Lol
Quoted from indypinhead:Any mention that previous purchasers will be able to get matching serial numbers?
I don't think they are doing that anymore. Too much hassle getting a certain number to a certain distributor. Was a nightmare in the past.
LTG : )
Quoted from Krupps4:If you think Afm is repetitive, then I’m not sure why you’d grab a Cactus Canyon. It’s on the same level of repetitiveness.
One big difference. Afm challenging, cc is not. Maybe if they change of some it's a different game then.

I believe most games are drop ship from the manufacturer to the buyer.
The distributor then just takes in the money and pays cgc.
Robert
No plans on their part to do any reruns. They are forthcoming with that. Spoke to somebody there the other day.
Maybe we will get a chance to see a demo of the new code? I'd like to not just jump blindly. Hope there is time to sell a few machines if Iike what I see.
Happy for cgc anyways
Quoted from Macca101010:Sheesh, for a Cactus Canyon thread, there sure is a lot of talk about AFM and MM.
There is definitely a lack of "hype" for CC compared to those two titles when they were announced.

I heard different on another MM run. Hope it’s true.

Since those games were announced. There have been a lot of great pins brought to market.
Maybe why CGC is making plans for independent titles in the future. Remake days might be numbered.

That would be a shame if they stop making remakes. Many of us want the old games but NIB. There is a whole new generation of buyers out there in this rapidly increasing hobby that just want to pick up the phone and order a new game delivered to their door. Always room to make both.

Originally they were talking 10 remakes. Later 6. So with CCR, that leaves 2 more.
So who knows what the future holds.

If I could upvote that 100 times, I would!!

Remake demand is alive and well.
Those that know game in its current state are just in a wait and see.
I’m sure CC will sell them out once more specific details are announced.
Quoted from kermit24:Just my price prediction:
LE $11,500 / Premium $8500 / Classic $7500
$9200 limited
$8200 special
$7200 classic
My prediction.
Quoted from tp:$9200 limited
$8200 special
$7200 classic
My prediction.
Go higher by 700 each, plus extras.

My guess is tack $400+ on the prices above, hope I’m wrong.
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Go higher by 700 each, plus extras.
In that case I would be out and moving on to something else. I predicted on the high side.
Plenty of great new titles floating around at the 6k price range. Why should the classic cost more than a stern pro?
If they wanna sell alot of games "imo" the price should be...
$8500 limited
$7500 special
$6500 classic
At most.
Is this game as desirable as
MM
Afm
Mb
I'm not sure as we haven't seen it. Hopefully it's a big improvement over the original. If so that'll be a good thing. If not no justification for a high price tag. Again imo.
2nd quarter of 2020 afm specials and mb specials could be had for $7000 nib and sat as people bought ehoh at $7400 nib.
I for one made that exact decision.

MMr in early 2023
it's interesting, as time has passed it looks like the demand for remakes is shuffling around a bit. 3 or 4 years ago I think people would have voted TOM and TOTAN as obvious choices.... now I suspect that WH2O and Funhouse may have passed them. Maybe not... but especially with TOTAN you rarely hear people ask for it to be remade.

Wait wait wait. Where is this pic from?
Quoted from Lhyrgoif:I sure want a CC-something but I can't afford a NIB game right now. Hopefully I can find a pre-owned in 2-3 years and buy it then when the price and novelty has worn off a bit.
Quoted from LTG:Since those games were announced. There have been a lot of great pins brought to market.

If they do not redo IJ TPA they are leaving a ton of money on the table.
Quoted from KozMckPinball:they are leaving ton of money on the table.
Really. I've seen this posted in many threads about many companies about many games.
I'm sure if it were true they'd be killing themselves going after all that money. They ain't stupid.

Man, listen. Some of these companies ARE being stupid for various reasons. Especially lately.
Quoted from MooButt:so early 2026 at the earliest
I want one more mb remake run, personally.

Kits??? Are we gonna start making old-school conversions now??!
I suspect this is in response to all the “scratch build” threads so many people have been building Stargazers and Quicksilvers, any and all sorts of pins that have new playfields being made.
Is this tapping into the DIY crowd? An entire pinball “build it yourself” kit, people can build their game from a box, knockdown style?
So many people love building games lately.

I got the kit when they were available. Basically makes a MM Standard into a Royal with RGB light kit, topper, color wide screen, and premium sound system. Simple install and the price was certainly worth it.
