Quoted from Bublehead:Don’t know why so many people on here think Cactus Canyon is such a great sleeper title. That it somehow has some magical, mystical quality that translates into a wonderful to own pin. It is rare, it is interesting, but is it worth remanufacturing? Not without some help IMHO
Now, mechanically, it’s not a bad machine, the layout is decent and the mechs all seem to work, only problem I have heard was the stupid train mech malfunctioning, but never owned one, just heard it from previous owners. Note the word “previous”.
Theme... well executed. The western cowboys and outlaws... the gold mine, train robbery, damsel in distress... quick draw. All worked together well. Its the reason someone did CCC in the first place.
And that was it. The rest is well known history. The code was never completed and so game play is pretty shallow. This goes from amusing western fun to chopping wood drudgery in about 15 good games. Nothing left to see here, folks, so please move along, move along... unless you are a code jockey working for CGC...
Yup, nothing new here. Not worth a thread IMHO
