Quoted from fishbone:She doesn't even care for credit cards.
Violet likes cash.
/backstory - I was getting ready to go buy my Metallica from Cointaker. I counted out the cash and set it on the bed. She immediately jumped up and put her paw on the cash.
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:"GB premium, meow (now)! Gotta have all the toys - meow (lottsa toys, oh boy)."
She did this the other day. I run a league in Harrisburg and was getting my stuff together for the league. I keep the league funds in a bank bag and only take a little bit of it with me in case I need to make change. I was pulling out what I needed and she jumped up on the counter. This is what she did....
My wife keeps saying that she's saving up to buy a cat treat factory.
Quoted from goingincirclez:Dazey passed from cancer last July just a few weeks after that photo
I'm sorry for your loss. I was an absolute wreck for days after losing our first cat Moses. My wife was even worse. We don't have kids, so these little guys are our kids.
Quoted from goingincirclez:he loved perching overhead to supervise...
Cats make the best supervisors.
She is so precious!!! I wish she would come out more when I'm there. I've only got to meet her once. She is beautiful!
Quoted from merccat:We call this cat pinball. There is a captive ball they can bat at and it bouces around making a good amount of noise. Sometimes both cats will sit on either side and knock the ball back and fourth.
I showed this to Violet and she is anxiosly awaiting a build thread......Ok, well maybe not anxiously, but for a cat, she looks pretty interested......right after her nap.
I don't think I've posted pictures of Violet in awhile. She really likes the EMs for some reason. Whenever I play, she'll come in and either lay under one of the machines or sit on Skyline or Safari. I the she has claimed Sky-Line as her own.
We haven't gotten our tree up yet this year, but this was Violet last year. She was very well behaved and just wanted to lay under the tree. During this picture, she was having more fun playing in the tissue paper the ornaments were wrapped in.
We go tree shopping tonight, so I'll have to see how she does this year.
I'll have to try and get a picture of the tree this year. Ever since my wife and I have been together we've had cats. Each year, she buys each of the kids an ornament and writes their name on it along with the year. Normally it's the Hallmark Mischievous Kitten ornament. Anyway, the tree is nothing but cat ornaments.
Quoted from Boat:What??? There's an entire thread on this??! This was on the weekend.
Yup. All this time you've been missing the best thread on Pinside.
Quoted from dmacy:Karolina has been less into pins and more into whiskey lately.
I wish she would hang out more when I'm there. She is such a beautiful cat.
Quoted from policano:This is a really nice post to look at. I recently lost my kitten to heart failure last Saturday and she loved to watch me play pinball.
I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your kitten.
My deepest condolences.
Quoted from Fairground:Probably wondering if Catwoman is featured on the Batman66
You win the Internet today.
Quoted from pinwiztom:While he has been good about using the box;
he tends to dig forever to china.
Sometimes I think our cat Violet is building sand castles in her liter boxes.
Quoted from Ballypin:Moose likes to lie around and supervise my restoration work. Then he fell asleep up there.
Looks like you're in the middle of a basement build? Do you have a thread going? Game room / basement build threads are my favorite.
Quoted from Fezmid:She was 18 years old, but sadly passed away last month on July 6th from cancer of the tongue and throat. RIP, Statik.
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. It's never easy.
Quoted from Allibaster:Here's Fester, my pinball buddy.
That's cute. He looks like he's patiently waiting for his turn.
Quoted from klr650:Funny how cats will always lay down on your tools. "Hey, looks like you can't get any work done, might as well just pet me..."
When I was in college my now wife and I had a cat named Moses. Whenever I would try and study, he would jump on the desk and lay on my Chemistry books. I got the the point where I had to sit down decoy books for him to lay on while I was trying to study.
Quoted from Coyote:Was working on my TZ a few days ago.
Felt like I was being watched.. But I couldn't find either of the little sh!ts.
Finally - I looked down.
"Hey, I found the problem. Hand me a 3/8" nut driver and the soldering iron."
Quoted from Atari_Daze:spyderturbo007 judging by your avatar, that seems to be your kitty's fav position!
I could post pictures of her laying that way all day long.
Quoted from HighProtein:The pinball cats group is still going strong on facebook!
There is a pinball cats group? How do I get in on that one?
Quoted from Clytor:If there is any way to get into the machine, she will find it.
[quoted image]
No way. That's the "I found the problem, hand me a 3A fuse." look.
Quoted from pacmanretro:Princess looks cool as heck....don't think ANYBODY here would complain about a few extra pics
If they do, we’ll just take them out back and bury them in the litter box.
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:what's a "fuf" ?
Picture a bean bag chair only filled with foam and huge.
She was at it last night again.
Quoted from girloveswaffles:... that profile!
You should see her in person. She is gorgeous, but very shy.
Quoted from RWH:Have any of you had a good experience with this and was it young kitten, or older cat?
We've done it both ways. Calvin was found at the side of the road abandoned in a thunderstorm. A friend of my wife's dog found him. He was barely old enough to hold his own head up when he was found. The vet estimated that he was about 2 weeks old. He is now 16. He's a shy cat and is attached at the hip to my wife.
Violet was a rescue from a woman that got her at a shelter and wanted to give her away due to unforeseen allergy issues. We aren't 100% sure how old she was at the time, but they estimated she was 6. She's now 10 and is my little princess. She is the most loving and social cat I've ever been around. She greets people at the door, comes when I call her and sleeps beside me almost every night. Most of the time I get woken up in the morning to her head butting me.
Some cats can be ornery though. Our last cat Moses loved my wife, but not so much other people (including me). He was abused though and pulled out of a disgusting environment that I don't care to remember (Some people should just be shot). Anyway, I don't blame him for the way he acted. If you abused me when I was younger I'd probably be a much different person.
Anyway, we've had 4 cats over the last 20+ years and I wouldn't trade any of them for the world.
Quoted from Drewscruis:This is pinky, she is very afraid of the pinball machines. But she makes up for it with this face....lol
[quoted image]
She is absolutely adorable!
Can everyone keep my oldest cat Calvin in their thoughts / prayers? We just got back from a 4h visit to the vet for blood work, imaging, etc. He stopped eating and has an enlarged heart and huge fluid buildup in his colon.
The vet says we can medicate him at home for the next ~18h, but if things don’t turn around, he’ll need to be hospitalized. He’s almost 17 and I’m not sure if he can handle being hospitalized.
Thanks!
Quoted from mollyspub:So sorry to hear. Sounds like its his time.
You don't want him to suffer.
Nor do his mother and I. Calvin is her cat, so I'm trying to remove the emotional aspect as much as possible. From taking to the vet extensively, the heart may or may not be an issue. She said we have no idea how long it's been that way, or if it might even be normal for him. He's never had imaging done. She told us that he could outlive us all, or pass away in his sleep tomorrow.
She was concerned about his dilated colon and him not eating. If we can figure out the colon, I think things will be fine.
The next few days are going to be difficult regardless of the decision.
Just an update for anyone that cares. Today we took him to a specialist for an ultrasound and echocardiogram. The specialist said Calvin has congestive heart failure. After discussing all options with the specialist, we have decided to try treatment and see how he responds. He told us that Calvin is in no pain which was my big concern.
According to him, some cats respond really well and their kidneys can handle the medication and other cats don't respond or go into kidney failure. If he doesn't respond to the medication, then we only have one alternative.
The colon was a secondary concern and one that he feels will resolve itself as we move forward with treatment. He's on a battery of medication right now, so we'll see what happens.
Please continue to keep him in your thoughts. Thanks fellow Pinsiders!
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:[quoted image]
We're wondering how Calvin is doing. Any updates
He's getting better, but still not 100%. We had him back on Monday for another $500 in blood tests and they found that he had really low levels of Potassium, so they gave us yet another set of pills. He is now on 10 pills a day along with liquid twice a day. We are hoping that changes as his levels return to normal.
I'm sure you can all imagine how difficult it is to give a cat one pill, let alone 10. We'll know more in the weeks to come.
The vet maintains that he is in no pain and is just tired so we are going to continue the pill route for now, but as he regains his strength, it's becoming increasingly difficult to get him to take his pills. This would be so much easier if the little guy would just cooperate.
Thanks for asking about him.
Quoted from NYP:I'm sure you already know about pill pockets, sometimes they help, some cats don't go for it. If you only have 1 cat and they don't eat each others food, sometimes you can chop up the pills into the food. Many times they make liquid versions of the meds. I had good luck cradling them in my arms, forcing the mouth open and sort of throwing it into their mouth. Vet probably told you all this but just in case. Good Luck, we're all rooting for him!
Thanks for the suggestion, but we tried the pill pockets and the little bugger wants nothing to do with them. He also won't eat wet food or baby food. We bought about 10 different kinds of wet food and he snubs his nose at all of them.
I've reached out to my vet to see about either making a liquid or being able to complex a few of these together to lower the sheer number of pills.
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:Does Calvin have a Go Fund Me? I'd like to help out, albeit a little.
Chris
I appreciate the thought and that is very nice of you, but isn't necessary. It's a strain on our savings account, but manageable depending on how many weeks in a row we have to shell out $460 for blood work.
Quoted from mollyspub:Please don't take this the wrong way but...are you sure your doing the right thing for him and not you ?
I know how hard and upsetting it is to let a loved pet go. Maybe it's for the best.
No worries. Am I sure.....not 100%. All I can do is consider the information provided by our specialist. My biggest concern was if he was in pain. When I asked the vet that question, his immediate response was "Not at all. He just feels like a tired old man". I then asked if any of the medication or the possible resulting kidney failure from the medication would cause pain. His response was "No".
The next question was a point blank "Being an impartial, not emotionally invested expert, what would you do?". To which he replied "There isn't any reason not to treat".
According to the vet, congestive heart failure is treatable and he could go on to live for years to come. On the other hand, he might not respond to treatment or his kidneys could fail and we face the alternative. He also mentioned that sometimes its overwhelming trying to medicate a cat. Dogs are apparently easy, whereas some cats won't take a pill no matter how hard you try. He recommended that we try and if it becomes too stressful for Calvin then we go with the alternative.
We decided, based on his expertise, that we would try treatment and see what happens.
Both of us are 100% considering his welfare before ours.
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:We bought some soft kitty treats and cut pills in half and stuff a half in each treat. It worked for stormy, but cat has to be hungry.
Quoted from Captainhook:Try using baby food. Gerber 2nd stage turkey in the microwave for seven seconds, about a teaspoon, mixed in with the medicine is what worked for our male.
Quoted from jhanley:The best way to give a cat a pill is grab it by the scruff of the neck ,open his mouth and pop it in the middle of his throat. Then rub under his neck and it will go down. I've had a lot a practice. Believe me. And you won't get scratched. Getting it in the middle of his throat is the hard part but after a while it will get easy.
Thanks for all the recommendations. We are definitely trying to find what is easiest for everyone involved. Some of the pills are small and pretty easy to hide, but others are huge and have to be cut in half. They are bigger than the treats.
Quoted from newovad:Our vet used Roadrunner Pharmacy to compound drugs for us and to get them in liquid form. It won't be available for all things but could cut the amount of pills. Liquids are way easier to administer to cats.
Check the list for your current meds and see if they are available in liquid.
https://www.roadrunnerpharmacy.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/CompoundMasterList.pdf
Thank you so much for the link. I've been having trouble locating a place that can compound his medication. I'm going to give them a call in a few minutes when I get home.
Quoted from NYP:Any update on Calvin?
We had to put Calvin to sleep on Monday. Unfortunately I was out of the country at the time for work. He was continuing to lose weight, didn't want to eat unless you put treats right in front of him and was having issues getting to the litter box. Despite all of the medication and everything we tried to do, he just wasn't getting any better.
It was just time....
Thank you to everyone for your support and thoughts. It's been rough. Nothing like sitting in a hotel room in Malaysia crying at 3:30am because you lost one of your furkids.
My wife can't even go into the room where his favorite cat house and his bed are.
Quick "Cat people" poll......Is it common to run into spraying issues when bringing home a cat into a house with an existing cat, assuming they are both fixed?
My wife and I have briefly discussed adopting a shelter kitty (following the loss of Calvin), but I'm scared we'll run into behavioral issues with our current cat Violet, or whatever new cat we bring home. I'd prefer to adopt an older cat since I know that kittens are very adoptable and older cats typically aren't as desirable due to their age.
Anyway, my paranoia is that we'll bring home a new cat and one or both of them start spraying and thereby ruining our house.
Just thought I'd ask for a few opinions / experiences.
Awwww. That’s terrible. We just lost our oldest, so if you want someone to talk to, please reach out.
I’m so very sorry for your loss.
Quoted from ToucanF16:Did you take their recommendations?
I'm sure he did. Dogs have masters, cats have staff.
Quoted from newovad:Trying to help out a BSD owner and crack open the game and the manual. Whichever one I need, is the one he gravitates towards.
I had a cat in college named Moses. Every time I was studying for an exam, he'd jump up on the desk and lay on either my notes or my book. I learned pretty quickly that the key was decoy books. Sit down with a book you don't care about. Wait until they lay on that book and slide it out of the way with them still on it. Then you can concentrate on the book you do need and they will be content laying on the first book.
Quoted from dmacy:Working on a playfield swap. And find her.
No parts or cats harmed.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
That last picture is hilarious. Almost like the “Hurry the hell up and get my machine finished!”
Quoted from Daditude:We clearly need a bad cats 2 pinball.
I posted the picture already I think, but it's totally relevant to this comment.
Violet says "Take my Money!"
Quoted from Atari_Daze:I think she wants you to get her a Bad Cats machine!
She has one. Redone cabinet with new decals, CPR Playfield, new plastics, new displays, LEDs, etc, etc.
Quoted from Bundy:Why are you looking at me? I was just passing by, wasn’t me.
Actually, that looks more like "Shut the damn door, I'm trying to use the bathroom!".
I like the fact that he has a little blanket to lay on. I can tell everyone around here spoils their cat like I do.
Quoted from MrMikeman:My cute Roxy (burmese/ocicat mix) trying to be a TREX. Lol.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Did you see that Stern jacked your picture for their Facebook page? Unless you allowed them to?
Adorable kitty by the way.
Quoted from Fairground:Today I had to say goodbye to my 15yr old Dharma (pictured at front facing her sister Asra)
She became very frail and kidney faiure, she drifted to heaven in my arms as the vet administered the needle.[quoted image]
I'm so sorry for your loss. Rest in Peace Dharma.
We lost our oldest Calvin earlier this year. Unfortunately I was out of the country on business when we had to make the decision. We opted for the in home option.
It's so terribly difficult.
Not a pinball picture, but still a cute picture. Violet hasn’t been allowed in the basement for awhile because I’ve been trying to get it finished so it’s a construction zone again.
Anyway, everyone left after a night of pinball and this is where she ended up around 1am while I was watching some TV. She hopped on my lap to take a nap so I naturally covered her up.
She’s my little Diva Princess.

We tell her it's her Cat Castle and we're just "the help".
Quoted from pinwiztom:Fortunately all our 9 cats are indoor only.
Wow. I'd love to do that, but I'm terrified that we'd have litter box issues. We encountered that years ago, with just two cats and it was a nightmare.
Quoted from Pinkitten:Thanks, she really is. Anyone who has lost a pet, even for a few hours, knows that panic. We have a very sweet dilute tortie cat named “Banjo” who was a bold door-dasher in her early years. In 2017, she sneaked out the sliding door, which was open a few inches. It started raining steadily that night, and we were out in the back field and neighborhood until 3am searching. I created this poster, and told my wife to leave the sliding door open just enough, in case she returned. At around 5am, a soaked Banjo was in the kitchen eating. Now she is heavily supervised and carries credentials. She was gone about 8 hours.
[quoted image]
I can't even imagine the horror. We don't have kids, we have Violet. If she ever got out, I'd take out a 2nd mortgage as a reward. She gets a harness and a leash when she goes outside.
And yes, I cut my grass shortly after Violet went inside.
Quoted from jhanley:Seems like a very loving cat.
You have no idea.
She follows me around everywhere, sleeps in bed with me almost every night and sits on my lap when I'm watching TV.
I don't know what I would do without her, let alone why she was found in a shelter. The person that gave her up was crazy, but I couldn't be happier that they did.
So Karolina, @dmacy's daughter, was nice enough to send Violet a present. It was a wonderful package of 3 banana cat nip toys in a really nice gift wrap. We put 2 in the closet, so she didn't OD and gave her one of them.
Here is the "I just got my present" picture followed by "that's some good shit" picture. And yes, I bought her a Fuff so she can hang out when we watch TV.
Quoted from Spiderpin:Hello This is Miss Kitty.
She was left in our neighborhood about 13 years ago when her owner's moved. It took about 2 month's before she adopted the wife and I. One day I was opening the sun porch door and she darted in. Once inside her slowly walked the interior of our house, every room if the door was open. She then came back to the sun porch. Meow, as if saying this will do. (1st pic Jan 2017) (2nd pic Nov 2020) If I was to post pic of her today she doesn't look the same. Fast forward some thirteen great years together. To this last week knowing the end is here. She has an appointment tomorrow when the veteran. She has cancer again and is to old for the operation this time. Can't see the screen to text anymore. Love and hold your pet's today.
I’m so sorry. It’s a terrible thing to have to go through and I wish you and your wife my condolences.
She looks like a beautiful little kitty and I’m sure she will be sorely missed.
I need some help from my cell cat parents. Violet has skin issues and has since we rescued her. She’s been scratching open a sore on her head. I’m trying to get a vet appointment but our vets office just lost a vet and are out 3-4 weeks.
I ordered a cone and a blow up thing but I was wondering if anyone else had a trick to keep their cat from scratching their head while I wait for it to arrive.
It’s right in front of her ear.
Quoted from Daditude:A good friend of mine just passed. This was my favorite pic of him
I’m so sorry about your loss. He was a handsome little guy!
What was his name?
Quoted from Daditude:My friends name was Zach (he passed away). His cat's name is whiskers.
Wow. I’m completely embarrassed. I thought that was you and your cat in the picture. I just assumed you were calling your cat your friend like I call my cat my daughter.
I’m sorry for the confusion and more so for the loss of your friend.
Quoted from Spiderpin:Does anyone live near Rohrersville, MD. I've emailed [email protected] a few times in the last couple weeks and haven't gotten any replys. We want to adopt a new family member. Has email gotten like snail mail? I think I'll sponsor the pet tomorrow and hopefully I'll get a reply with a thank email. Then go from there. Thanks for letting me vent. I'm good now.
I don't have anything to add, but I just wanted to thank you for rescuing a cat!
Quoted from miracleman:Those stools are bad news for pets, lucky it never happened before. Hope you chucked them.
I had a close call back in the day with one of my cats getting tangled in a patio blind cord that wrapped around her neck.
No harm done, but I was so pissed I didn't see that danger before. I always 'pet safed' anywhere I lived when I had cats.
What makes that style of bar stool dangerous? I'm shopping for bar stools and want to steer clear of things that might pose a problem for my little princess.
Quoted from ThatOneDude:My cat's favorite places to be:
1) random boxes
2) places/rooms they are not supposed to be
3) the seat I just got up from to grab another drink
I setup a home office for myself (finally) a few weeks ago. I was working off the breakfast bar thing forever and a day. Anyway, I bought a big old desk and a nice gaming chair. Had the desk delivered, put the chair together and had it all setup and ready to go. Went to grab a beer to celebrate and break in the new desk and came back to this.
The next day, she decided that she wanted the desk.
I had to put a decoy cat bed on the desk and she seemed pretty content. That is until I get up and she steals my chair again.
Quoted from jhanley:That is one fat kitty.
We rescued her and she has been slowly losing weight since we got her. We don't have any children and she is our daughter. What you said was ignorant and completely uncalled for.
What if I said that about your wife or your kids? Would that be acceptable?
Quoted from Birdnest:cat approved
I hate to break it to you, but that’s not a sign of approval. It’s his now.
Quoted from Seamlesswall:Rubber Head
[quoted image]
The expression says “I’m going to scratch the shit out of you if you don’t take this damn thing off my head”.
Quoted from Bundy:Never short of a helping hand when there are cats around.
11 year old Ella is practicing her playfield swapping skills, or being in the middle of everything skills…[quoted image]
She doesn't seem pleased with your progress.
Beautiful kitty by the way.
Quoted from boagman:You people are making me wistful...
There are a lot of homeless kitties that need a home.
I converted my old pinball room into an office a few months ago so ignore the yet to be hung stuff and the wire dangling down the wall for now. Anyway, I occasionally have clients at my house to demo tech for them, so I purchased a second chair for the other side of my desk. I was working in there one morning when I looked up and saw Violet. I asked her if she had an appointment.....apparently she didn't need one.
IMG_7008 - Copy (resized).jpgQuoted from Rdoyle1978:That happens to me ALL. The. Time.
what are those UFO looking things on the desk ?
Those are Unifi Wireless Access Points. There is a controller that manages all the networking hardware and all that stuff handle the wireless and wired networking for both of their buildings.
If you're really bored.
Quoted from YeOldPinPlayer:I have one of the Ubiquiti Dream Machine routers for my home network. Highly recommended. https://store.ui.com/collections/unifi-network-unifi-os-consoles/products/unifi-dream-machine
I love their stuff. I've never played with the UDM, but hear it's great for residential applications.
Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled program of cute kitties!
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:Gotcha. Boy I wish I'd looked into these before I blew a bunch of money on the Google Nest mesh spy network. These are even PoE!
They make great stuff. It's all controlled by a Cloud Key, so networking configuration, changes, updates, etc can all be managed through an app on you phone or a web browser. The switches all run AR (Augmented Reality) now so long gone are the days of having to label stuff. Scan the AR image on the switch and your phone will overlay the switch data on the image of the switch. So you can see device name and the last 4 of the MAC address right from your phone's camera.
It's just all around awesome equipment. It's a little more expensive than your standard consumer level stuff, but it's much better. I just installed one of their in wall APs in my office. It's PoE powered and has a 4 port switch at the bottom with a PoE pass through. Screws right into a standard outlet box, so anyone that has Ethernet in their house or office and replace their wall plate with one which adds another WAP and a switch.
EVS5w2BUUAEjpMr.jpg large.jpegQuoted from craif:The data is mixed on whether cats can count but even the most optimistic studies indicate their upper limit is around 6-8. I don't think you'll like my solution but Violet may not notice!
She can definitely count. She knows when I stiff her on her afternoon cat treats!
Quoted from SonOfaDiddly:i think he'd crush the glass
He has that "Don't be talking shit on my weight" look in his eyes.
Quoted from pyrotech:I posted about Beans, couple of weeks ago about his illness. With a heavy heart my wife and I had to let him go today. Beans was 18yrs of age and also deaf. Now he is in kitty heaven, see you again some day little buddy.
Awww. I’m so sorry for you and your wife’s loss. I’m sure he had a wonderful 18 years.
Quoted from dmacy:I hope she doesn’t watch this or she will. She’s too smart at times.
You’re way to late on that one. How do you think Violet calls her all the time?
Quoted from nerbflong:Cookie watching me work on a game
I see he's been writing on your wall back there too.
I had a few people over on Saturday and Violet came downstairs to hang out. She loves the carpet in the game room for some reason. Maybe it's the memory foam. Anyway, she runs downstairs at 100mph, around the bar and immediately lays down on the carpet and starts rolling around.
A little while later, I saw her at the other end of the room watching TV. I'm going to have to talk to the vet about her TV viewing.
Actually, this is her favorite thing to watch. Ever since my wife started putting it on when she is home doing stuff around the house, Violet always checks out the TV when she walks by to see what is on.

We've been donating through their Amazon wish list since I found the link. They have a mother and her kittens that the staff raises so you can watch them grow up before they go to their furever homes.
Quoted from RustyLizard:Dribbles is a girl. Maybe she earned them the hard way......
[quoted image]
Awwwww. She’s adorable!
Quoted from jibmums:Thank you Ron, and thanks everyone else too. He's home since yesterday, on some heart meds and has a cardio appt later this week where they'll determine what other meds he needs. The plan now is just to keep him as calm, happy, and healthy as possible for as long as possible. I thank my stars that I work at home so I can be around for him all day; same as when my grand old boy Atticus passed several years ago, so glad I was able to be around him full-time to care for him. It's amazing how they burrow right into your heart.
We lost our beloved Calvin a few years ago to heart failure. I had posted his picture a few times. Anyway, one thing that made me feel better was taking him to a heart specialist (don't ask how much that cost) and being able to ask the question that I hated asking. Was he in pain? The specialist told me that he was in no pain at all and would just be more tired than usual. He said it was akin to us getting older and needing to rest more after exerting ourselves.
Anyway, we are all pulling for Willie!
Quoted from LeonSpinkx:From the Pinball Museum in Las Vegas:
That's the "Dude, that's not how you do it" look.
Quoted from Electrocute:Here’s one if anyone’s interested.
I would love to have a Bengal, but we always find a rescue. Nothing against people that do buy kittens, but we've always found a cat or kitten without a home.
Quoted from jhanley:Cute pic of Boo
[quoted image]
That's the "Hey, peasant. Why haven't you gotten me my snacks yet?" look.
Quoted from NYP:Hey cat lovers! Any of you have experience with something called hyperesthesia? It's sort of a cat anxiety attack, they get all restless and start over-grooming and twitchy etc. Diagnosing is hard and there aren't really any cures, and it's not very common although there are plenty of YouTube videos showing it. I'm not even sure if my cat has it, but he did have a couple of episodes of weird behavior. The vet took blood and x-rays and said nothing unusual. Some say it's related to or starts because of itchy dry skin, which my cat has, dandruff etc. So I have him on a regimen of daily sprayings to keep his skin moist, and brushing him more, and starting him on omega-3/fish oils which I should have had him on already. It's happened 2-3 times over the course of a few weeks but hasn't reoccurred since I've been taking care of his dry skin. But being an overprotective parent and obsessive cat lover, thought I would throw this out there so see if any of you had any experience with it, TIA
Violet used to scratch a lot. We found out she has allergies which leads to skin issues. She takes 1/4 of a 10mg Zyrtec everyday. That’s what the vet prescribed and it seems to work great. She still scratches but much much less than before.
Apparently it’s completely safe for cats.

It’s a Diva thing. We wouldn’t understand.
My company won an award in the area called Simply the Best. As my wife and I were getting ready to go to the awards gala, she sat down her shoes and the purses she was deciding between.
A few seconds later, I walk in to see this:
Anyone else have a cat that loves shoes and purses, because Violet sure does.
Quoted from dmacy:Thank you all! So not bad news. Not good news. No teeth issues as we were thinking that was it. Not eating much. Didn’t want to drink water.
Violet sends hugs and kitty kisses to her best friend Karolina. She is so confident everything will be just fine she decided on a nap.
