Thanks @Billc479, machine is "down" for refurb.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/polishing-up-a-silverball-mania
Spyderturbo007 judging by your avatar, that seems to be your kitty's fav position!
Quoted from PACMAN:I don't own a cat.
Omg, I'm catching up on this thread, i get ^^ here
and the Cheetos commercial comes on tv, the one with the guy interrogating his family with the black lite and he asks... "when did we get a cat"
I lol'd- literally
Alexa must know what I'm reading and watching... Nosey bitch
Quoted from someotherguy:another cat involved in departure of Gorgar
Hope kitty was accounted for after the crating, they love boxes!!
Not 1 but TWO inspectors in my current Laser Ball, project. The funny thing is the machine has sat in this state for almost 2 weeks as I've been working on the playfield and not once did either of them show any interest. As soon as I start stripping the guts of the cab, this happened!
Then, one of them discovers the recently cut cab stencils. SHEESH.
20181002_205751 (resized).jpg20181002_214431 (resized).jpgQuoted from Higloss67:Looks like your stencil cat is about to drool.
Well that's better than what I stepped in the other morning at 0430!
I need to remember next time I list a machine for sale, any cat hair found was supplied free of charge.
I have an uncle that used to have a vending route, I am going to check with him asap for any old gumball dispenser, that is a great idea.
No, he won't part with any pinball / juke boxes for reasonable rates. But a gumball machine...
Quoted from Higloss67:The lighting on your Laser Ball looks fantastic.
Many thanks, I will post the restore thread soon for those interested.
That pic was just last night as I completed it over the Thanksgiving holiday and wanted to enjoy a few games before the week started, obviously I wasn't the only one who wanted to play it!
Quoted from Angyalpor:If I open the coin door, my cats appears nearby immediately...
I concur, crack open the door of my project Motordome just one minute before this...
20181228_183829 (resized).jpgQuoted from Pecos:A Gato Story
Alan, thanks for the moving story, very sad you have lost your beloved Gato. I have a similar story on how I was adopted by a stray, and they do capture our hearts.
You and Gato are in my thoughts and prayers!
Quoted from Deerlakes6:Bella's favorite..
What beautiful markings on her!
Here is my other feline inspecting the new Motordome cab and bb I've been working on.
20190107_215111 (resized).jpgQuoted from RWH:Should have been locked up and chained to post for their duration the bastards!
This times 1000
Looks like that sweet baby has a great home now!!
Quoted from Alan_L:If your cat is anything like mine, some of those parts will be on the floor tomorrow morning.
That is precisely why I have to bag them, at least I can find the bag. If I leave anything unattended, within minutes I hear it hit the floor!
And she is NO help when looking for them later! It's funny because for two years she did not venture onto countertops, now for whatever reason (guess she found that's where I kept her "toys") she is all over them.
Quoted from Spyderturbo007:We had to put Calvin to sleep on Monday.
Aw, very sad to read this, so sorry for your loss. He is immortalized here at least. Those are two awesome shots of Calvin.
Thanks for the update, I know this is a tough time!
Quoted from Spyderturbo007:Is it common to run into spraying issues when bringing home a cat into a house with an existing cat
Fortunately / unfortunately I have experience with both outcomes... we have adopted multiple cats, male / female...some from shelters, some off the street. As I think upon it, only TWO of those would continue to mark territory, BOTH of them had been outdoor cats for sometime before we took them in, got their shots, removed their "kittyhood". Only those felines were the ones marking, our other cats whom came to us from shelters did NOT spray. I'll be eager to see what others say, I have room for one more but am hesitant for the reasons listed above!
Oh Anthony, so very sorry!! It does sound as if he went peacefully, thank you for sharing a great photo!
Quoted from TractorDoc:Upgraded to include real feline sound effects.
No kitten around, that IS truly the cats meow! What a purrfect photo Doc!
Quoted from TractorDoc:opened the door to add a few more and she hopped in.
Ain't it funny how they are, mine could care less about a pin for months, the second I open the door and turn around POOF, here they come.
Same thing with my Cameo. It could sit out for days unplugged and they ignore it, the second it powers up, here she comes! I mean the Cameo I get, the material being cut moving around and all but the coin door thing is a head scratcher!
That is a handsome ginger Clytor !!
Here she says, not on my watch will I allow you to pull the glass and inspect this thing. It has sat here for months as my perch and NOW you want to investigate something, pshaw!
How do they know when we want to tinker with a machine?
magic (resized).jpgQuoted from Spyderturbo007:Violet says "Take my Money!"
I think she wants you to get her a Bad Cats machine!
Quoted from Spyderturbo007:She has one.
My bad, I completely missed it in your list of current games.
Quoted from Jappie:Two oldies
Beautiful markings on that kitty! That tail is purfect.
Quoted from Electrocute:They’ve declared a truce, at least for now!
Interestingly they even chose the same machine!
Quoted from DanQverymuch:Naughty kitty cat!
Damnit Jim, I'm a cat, not a pinball tech!!
Quoted from Coyote:Just like tryin' to read a book or newspaper. Or laptop.
Or pin schematics, that seems to be a favorite!!
This one is so funny, even being an outside boy, if I try and sit for even a few seconds, poof he is in my lap.
Quoted from pacmanretro:Sadly, I lost both my kitties this last week
Sometimes it is very hard to be a pet parent, sorry to hear of your double loss!
As you know, cats choose you, I'm sure you will be chosen again very soon.
Quoted from pzy:me and Franklin have never been happier.
Was there much trepidation when it first came into the house?
All these people with shelter in place orders, where is the proof? More festive feline photos required folks, come one.
What's most unusual, this is NOT the one that typically prevents me from folding it. I typically take one towel and set it aside as a decoy but did not even have time to that in this case. Meh.
Quoted from Captainhook:Juliet has just discovered the new topper.
Excuse me but this does NOT belong there, I DO.
Quoted from AaronZOOM:my cat always wants to play too. Unfortunately, this is as much of the playfield as I can see.
We call that playing obstacle pinball, adds a new level of complexity!
Quoted from pinwiztom:I am not encouraging taking on new tenants, as we already have nine indoor only cats.
you and I are opposites, we have 3 indoor and 9 outdoor cats and only 1 dog, but pretty sure he thinks he is a cat.
Quoted from Atari_Daze:you and I are opposites, we have 3 indoor and 9 outdoor cats and only 1 dog, but pretty sure he thinks he is a cat.
See... he loves the back of the couch , after he kicks the other "cats" off
Quoted from JimB:Had to put one of my rescues to sleep yesterday
Sorry to hear of your loss
20200417_180725 (resized).jpgQuoted from Alan_L:Aristocats.
Yup, but to me their antics are more Larry, Curly and Moe!
Welp, inherited another edition to the Atari Daze feline family.
His owner's moved out with out taking him so we now have 10 outside cats. All males save one who just gave birth yesterday! No idea yet how many she had.
If any one in or around Houston has the space for a sweet boy, let me know. He currently goes by Snowball II but that is open for negotiations he says. He would prefer to keep his 'boys' but that too is up for discussion with him.
He's going to get food a water here as long as needed but my landlord is sure gonna be upset. He makes our total count 13, before the new kittens. And I honestly think he's the daddy, but that's another Maury Povich episode for another day.
3 inside and the 10 outside. Apparently I'm a crazy cat guy.
Quoted from girloveswaffles:Looks a lot like this kitty that shows up on my patio
Ha! Snowball iii
Quoted from DCFAN:Here is one in Houston
Thank you!
Quoted from jhanley:Scout is 8 months old today
No matter how shitty a day I may have, this thread and the doggie one never fail to put a smile on my face and warm my heart.
Quoted from Birdnest:I think they actually like each other
I've posted this one before... this was a common occurrence and not once did Minnie try to get the bird.
Such strange bedfellows.
iphone pics 268 (resized).jpgQuoted from Birdnest:The joys of being the first Cats to put cat hair on fresh laundry before the humans put it away
I throw down a decoy towel, leave the other laundry in the basket, come back in 5 minutes and can fold, and put away unmolested!
This happens if I don't, or if both cats want the freshness. DOH.
8e72ad9e148e3ad0bf38b050e39e1b654332e567 (resized).jpgQuoted from Atari_Daze:3 of our 11 outdoor felines and these are brothers, should have been three stooges but wife named them
Taluse
Burlios &
Murray
Lost Murray today, poor fella did not have 9 lives, he was taken out by a car driving too fast around the corner we live on.
RIP little buddy, he was the most tame of the three brothers (the black and white).
Quoted from Blackbeard:Condolences Atari Daze.
Thanks mate. He was a good fella, super friendly. I hope he had a pleasant life while I was his shepherd.
I can say with confidence he never knew hunger, thirst, lack of shelter or a pet pet.
Omg ya'll, it wasn't murray who was killed.
My wife didn't know the corner neighbors 4 houses down also had a black and white young cat. Thus when she saw it in the road near their house she assumed it was our murray. I even commented that murray had been so far from home. So yesterday I get a call from my kid asking if I was sure it was murray who was dead, as a cat looking a lot like him was chilling on our porch. I said no, but that I had buried a deceased black and white cat his size. It was just coincidence murray had been gone for about 24 hours.
To my surprise Murray was home on the porch eating some dinner last night when I got home from work.
What a bitter sweet time!
Here he is, chilling with his brothers.
Quoted from Captainhook:Good pet owners don't let their cats run the streets. Here it is illegal to let them run loose
Unfortunately my landlord only allows us to keep 3 of our 15 cats inside (12 of them arw feral anyway) When other people move away and leave their cats to run wild they end up here for food and water.
At least we can do that.
Quoted from Blackbeard:Lazy bums
Yep, got one too. Saw this after walking the dog.
Taluse had a hard day of laying on the porch, so now he's resting. Or he's drunk and hanging on for dear life.
20200730_200632 (resized).jpg20200730_200621 (resized).jpg
Quoted from Blackbeard:It's those black and white cow looking fellas that think they just own the place.
Had I tried to rub that belly, like it appeared he wanted, he would not had any of it. Taluse is not tame at all compared to Murray his bro.
Murray from a baby was not intimidated by people at all and still just loves to get attention. Just like their dad, Tiger aka Thomas, one could not tell they were feral.
Tiger and Murray will both just saunter into the house if given half an opportunity. If we did not already have 3 indoor felines, those two would be more then welcome inside.
We put an office together today for the wife.
Got these chairs out of storage.
Arranged all the furniture, I then got in a nap and apparently so did these two ladies.
20200822_161339 (resized).jpg
And then there is Taluse, I even moved the grill back thinking it would keep him out of there.
This handsome fellow is Tiger.
He's been hanging around outside about 3 years now. He's one of our 13 total kitties.
We recently had had him fixed and got all his shots, he's getting ready for a new permanent home. Our oldest moved away to college this year and he has decided he needs a companion. Being that Tiger is so friendly, we decided we would bring him inside and get adjusted to indoor life. The boy will pick him up labor day weekend.
We are very happy for both the boys. I sincerely think Tiger had been a pet before.
Last night on MY side of the bed, and today on HIS couch. They are going to get along famously.
I do admit I will miss Tiger, he always greeted me upon getting home, put his paws on my legs as high as he could wanting me to pick him up, so much like a small child.
Tiger, enjoy your new forever indoor home old boy!
Quoted from ToucanF16:Taluse sure loves the BBQ!
Yes he does. This spot is a new one for him.
"mine"
20200918_054959 (resized).jpgQuoted from matiou:Myshka likes helping me fixing my EBD...
looks like the "oh crap, you saw me" eyes
Quoted from pinwiztom:Where is the BBQ?
Taluse has found a new home, he's not been hanging around his BBQ any more.
Quoted from Jappie:Wesley spying on me while I check out the coin op auction
"You are going to pay attention to me"
Quoted from pinwiztom:Where is the BBQ
I told Duchess what you said, so she did this for you.
Note the towel we put down for her that she is NOT sitting on.
Quoted from dmacy:Anyone's cats love chasing the mech springs?
And screws, and plastic star posts, those are a big hit!
Sugar pretty much loves anything she can knock off a counter an bat around until it vanishes.
She vanished this past laundry day for a bit. I went to clean the kitty boxes, I don't want you to find me she said.
20201115_193604 (resized).jpgSorry to bring up unpleasant memories with the picture of Sugar in the dryer, I did escort her out and closed the door after.
I had posted that to illustrate the wacky nature of our kitties. I had no idea someone actually lost a cat that way.
I thought about not posting, never dreamed of so many horror stories.
Love the kitties you have today, they are never here long enough!
Quoted from DaWezl:I thought y’all might like to see the custom paint-by-numbers kit I did using my favorite picture of our cat up on a pin.
Now that is cool!
Quoted from joemagiera:My cat is a big fat tub of lard and I wouldn't be offended at all if you said that. It's a statement of fact.
One of my rescues has grown quite rotund, her new nickname is 'ole big fat one Kenobi'.
Quoted from pinwiztom:Tandem lap cats
Got two myself.
These two rarely occupy the same room unless I make a lap.
We are fostering these four rambunctious felines for our vet. Their office is finally about finished from repairs caused by our freak freeze and they had to place all their animals for a week. These furry friends were sadly bound for a kill shelter after they were dumped on the vet's door one morning. Apparently all the no kill shelters in the area were full so we gladly accepted to care for them while their office is completed.
They are named THINGS 1 - 4.
Then the wide, I mean white one, "don't bother me". I currently can't have my kitties lay on me while I nap so they get as close possible.
Lastly, Charlie making nice with one of our outside friends, Casper. It's so funny, our inside cats nor Charlie like each other but the outside girls and he are thick as thieves.

Get home from work to discover wife has them now named:
Squirrely Dan
Dairy
Katey &
Shoresy.
Quoted from Electrocute:Cheetah showing off her teeth! No worries, she’s just yawning.
All meow and no bite eh?
Quoted from Birdnest:Sadly we had to say goodbye to Dorito this weekend - we knew he had a heart issue when we adopted him
You are a good human!
Sorry to hear about Dorito.
We've been exposing the Letterkenny kitten crew to Charlie little by little.
We only have the kittens until tomorrow and this was this morning. They have gone from running and hissing at him to sniffing and bonking him, good signs.
Can you tell from the pic his tail is just a goin' ?
Saying good bye to the Letterkenny kittens today, back to the vet while they wait for their furever homes.
They have all become very social, loving and even friendly with Charlie dog. I think we did good while they were in our care.
Apparently however, we will be fostering 3 others now.
Quoted from pinwiztom:We also have a cat named Wednesday,
but normally call her Lil' Bit, except when she is in trouble.
She must have only one thing on her mind... homicide.
Quoted from pyrotech:With a heavy heart my wife and I had to let him go today. Beans was 18yrs of age and also deaf. Now he is in kitty heaven
Wow, I'm sure Beans enjoyed those 18 years with you! I imagine he did.
Sorry of your loss.
Quoted from Redwizard000:A cat chasing your ball makes it quite a bit more difficult.
We call that obstacle pinball.
Quoted from trolldownstairs:Now she thinks that SHE is the law.
The look of, you don't know how to use the three sea shells?
Quoted from Alan_L:And you spend the rest of the week pulling little wisps of fur from various under playfield parts.
Nay, those are the inspection registration marks!
This pin inspected by...
Quoted from jibmums:We'll miss you forever, Willie.
Sad to see you go Willie, I think you must have had a great caretaker while you were with us.
Sorry for the loss jibmums
Quoted from Atari_Daze:Charlie the dog and Dutchess the cat.
Here they are again, enjoying each other's company.
She bonks him very much.
Quoted from pinwiztom:Gawd, hope my wife does not do this
So here is the thing, ever since we were together, our pets ALWAYS like me best.
It started with the toy poodle she brought to the relationship to the next dog she found at the school she was teaching at during her first job after graduation.
Then there was the bird we had for a few years, many cats in between, the greyhounds we used to foster, even "her" dog now. They ALL have always ended up "my" animals. So lately as our outdoor cat numbers have dwindled she has been "threatening" to bring home a cat to be "hers". Yesterday was that day.
I give it six months for the little tyke to grow up a bit, then we will see with whom he ends up taking a liking to.
He sure is a vocal critter, I figure he is still looking for his mom and siblings. He's found a good home though.
Quoted from pinwiztom:Is he ever not asleep?
The last 3or4 photos you posted,
are of him asleep.
Capture a moment when he is awake and into mischief.
I will try, he is so rambunctious, he only sits still to eat, sleep and poop.
He is so funny. So you recall he was found on the side of the road, but since bringing him into our home, he has been only an inside boy. This Saturday I was doing something outside on the porch briefly and left the door a jay, I turned around to see he snuck out, before I could scold him, he paused and decided, oh hell no, poof, he was back in the house.
I got a good chuckle out of that.
Quoted from pinwiztom:Capture a moment when he is awake and into mischief.
Monkey see...

Playing slaps
And then he sleeps.
20220620_190839 (resized).jpgQuoted from pinwiztom:are you going to get him fixed?
Absolutely.
In fact I think it was you who helped me find the discount litter control facilities, and in my county, it's free!
Surgar and Lucifur have become sparring buddies.
Sugar used to just run and avoid Luci, recentpy she has decided he is a great play toy.
Im hopeful she will stop trying to fight with Bi Bi so much now that Luci is more her speed.
Lucifur says size matters not, judge me by my size?
Quoted from benheck:Instant connection. Super affectionate, purring, paw kneading etc. Guess it depends on the cat?
Looks like one happy tabby!
Quoted from Borntolose:1FE9499C-28ED-469B-A1BC-B19F189DEE97 (resized).jpeg
The look of WHAT?
Quoted from Pablito350:one of those fish that flops around when it's touched.
Lucifur chasing a different type of fish.
20220816_194451 (resized).jpgWe have Charlie talking with The Dutchess and her offspring Casper.
Then, back on the porch, Thomas with Casper both have been coming back around recently.
There for a while The Dutchess was our only outside kitty.
Nice to see some old familiar felines.
Quoted from bigguybbr:Butters patiently waiting for me to turn on the machine
What a purrfect name for a ginger!
Quoted from pinwiztom:Jack is now with Mackenzie and Dewey dog, who we lost 6 months ago.
Awe man, so sorry for your loss of Jack. The worst part of being a pet parent, seeing them go.
Glad Dewey and Mac now have another friend though.
So Apparently Casper had a litter of at least 3 before she got fixed. I had only seen one at a time until today so thought there was only one.
Whoops was I wrong.
Luckily their lopped ears indicate they have been fixed.
I think they will be known as Larry, Curly and Mo.
Quoted from pinwiztom:Why not Manny, Moe and Jack?
Well, I thought Tom, Dick and Harry but went went the stooges in honor of their part in the Lethal Weapon films.
Quoted from transprtr4u:Where else do you sit when there is snow on the ground...
That's what the T- Rex is for !
Spit my drink all over the phone, thank you!
Gotta learn to time my scrolling better.
This is Minie, had her for over 10 years now.
The past few, she has wanted to live in our youngest sons room. Well over Easter weekend, while he was away, I decided to let her go on a walkabout. Well, I created a monster. She now lives out in "the world" with our other kitties.
Son is rather put out with me at present.
And this young lady is Cleocatra.
We are caring for her while our oldest boy relocates to D.C. for law school.
He will come back in a month and pick her and Lucifur up to keep him and each other company.
She's found a nice perch on Magic while I wait to get my workshop back up and running.
Quoted from pinwiztom:I bet you will miss Luci sleeping on your lap
I think Luci might miss it too.
20230701_154808 (resized).jpg
Cleo sure is enjoying Magic. She's going to be disappointed when I get the head bolts out of storage later today.
20230701_083726 (resized).jpg
Sugar and BiBi might not miss him though.
20230701_170811 (resized).jpg
Welp, Cleo kitty is finally safe / sound in her new D.C. home.
She left me this morning on a big ole jet airliner (Well a 737) and my boy just sent me this one after they made it home.
She was allowed to do things our other cats were not, like get on the counters and check out the ice box.
She "might" be missed.
Quoted from pinwiztom:I thought Luci was also going to join Cleo to keep her company going to DC with one of your kids?
Unfortunate change of plans, Luci will be staying with us in Texas for now.
Oldest may take him in the future if another trip can be made.
Fatty fatty 2 x 4, Sugar can't get through the...
Shes staring at it like it is a daunting task.
But with a name like Sugar, what were you expecting.
I really do wonder when she and Luci will cease to fit!
20230822_180345.jpg
Well at least she forgives my name calling.
20230822_200259 (resized).jpg
Oh fur fuchs sake, this has gotten
regoddamndiculous
All this was in the span of 30 minutes.
Quoted from Nokoro:but every clean load of laundry that’s folded and waiting to be put away has our cat Molly right in the middle.
I have no idea what that's like.
Quoted from Jenk540i:I’ll trade you two tuna crunchies for one salmon bar and a catnip crispy.
That should be a greeting card or something, so purfect.
You should post that in the Halloween topics.
Cat pic of the year!
Quoted from gumnut01:How many do you have?
7 regulars outside, 3 inside.
Quoted from transprtr4u:The eat humans?
Duh!
Old picture but posting to remember. This little kitty, Minnie, will be put to rest today. Her kidneys have failed her and she has stopped eating and drinking.
My youngest whom is in charge of her care, away at college, phoned today that he will take her this afternoon.
She was a gift from an old neighbor that we didn't need but happily took her in. She got along with everyone as this picture clearly illustrates.
We think it was around 2008 when we got her, she was one of the good ones.
Minnie, your fine feathered friend Murray will be waiting to meet you!
Thanks everyone, my boy called and Minnie is now resting, turns out it was her liver. We did the best by her that we could, I'd like to think she did ok by having us as pet parents.
My son had spoken once about possibly taking Luci, sometime after we knew this day would come, maybe by the new year he will be ready for another feline.
Luci may be a chunk, but he is a pretty lovable chunk, and I know my son will be able to get his weight down. He was able to do that with Minnie mouser, she too was a chunk at one time.
Thanks for this thread for letting me share and seek some slight peace.
Quoted from Bundy:Especially now since I had to do the same with my Ella yesterday after 14 years together.
Damn sorry to read about your fur baby's loss. I never dreamed I would open this thread back up to read about another loss so soon.
My heart goes out to you, looks like Ella had a pretty good home for those 14 years, you did good mate!
Quoted from Oneironaut:She's just covering up those muffins to keep em warm.
Luci is short for Lucifur, and he did this for like 10 minutes, he rotated his position like 4 times, made more than a 360 circle.
We got a real kick out of it. Never seen him chew the blankie like that for that long before, He used to do it as a kitten but had not seen that in quite a while.
Quoted from JBtheAVguy:We have the rattiest clawed up furniture in our house.
I should have taken before pictures, it's a double wide with the cheap cardboard panel trim, those cats LOVED to claw that shit up.
I've already replaced almost all the door trim for the same reason.
I keep telling my self it will be a nicer home when we leave than when we moved in.
Quoted from DadofTwins:We came home yesterday to find out that Pumpkin (newest) was trying to drop a deuce upstairs in a litter box and Daisy decided to attack her. Mid dump, Pumpkin is trying to hide from Daisy, slinging crap everywhere. Wife had a nice mess to clean up, lmao.
I'm glad I was not taking a drink when I read that, I'd have a nice mess to clean up from all over my PC screen!
Quoted from RipleYYY:life is so hard... (a cat life day - episode 529)
Must ... resist ... the urge to pet belly, arggggh.
