Sorry to hear that. We lost our Maine Coon Marshmallow last year to cancer. I was with him at the end at the vet.
Quoted from poppapin:Imitation of "Grumpy Cat"?
He only sits for a short time until he wants out. This was the end of his patience.
I have Maine Coon cats, and they tend to like water more. I've had one jump into the shower with me when I had been gone for a week. Didn't bother him at all.
Quoted from JodyG:Someome has to be in my lap while I'm building Wolffpac display kits.
When soldering parts like those displays, I always solder some corner chips first to make sure it is seated right and stays in place. Build a display for a machine and it was failing badly. Finally realized that it changed when I pressed on a chip. Looked underneath, and sure enough, I had tacked on a couple of SIPP sockets and hadn't soldered the middle pins. Always recheck your work when you are doing midnight soldering....
Also, Odin felt like posing for a pic today.
Quoted from transprtr4u:That's one serious cat ....
He's a 25lb behemoth. A Maine Coon who likes to wrestle. He's a beast.
Quoted from Coindork:His ears and facial features kind of resemble some of the native bobcats we have out here.
Yeah, part of the myth about Maine Coons are that they were crossbred with bobcats or lynx. They are most likely a descendent of Norwegian Forest Cats.
He's usually a big lazy loaf.
Quoted from jhanley:200$ worth of cat toys and this is Scouts favorite.A worthless shopping bag.
My cat's favorite places to be:
1) random boxes
2) places/rooms they are not supposed to be
3) the seat I just got up from to grab another drink
Quoted from pinwiztom:Mojo, just hanging out under the chair
I've had mornings like that...
Quoted from BubbaK:Is that a Maine Coone? Beautiful cat..
Yup, mother and son. Odin is in the box, and his mom Bestla is on the back of the couch.
Our cats were rescued from a breeder who badly mistreated them. The mother was malnourished and some of the litter didn't survive. We had just lost our last Maine coon to cancer, and we were offered our pick. We took the grey one, whom we named Odin. No one wanted the mother, so we ended up taking her, too. She's still got some odd tendencies from abuse, but she's getting better.
They aren't allowed where the pins are in general, so I usually just post pics of them sitting nearby while I work. Odin is the bottom pic, Bestla is the top.

Quoted from pinballmike150:This does not prevent him from picking a fight with Clay multiple times a day.
I love how this is framed by the "biff" and "sock" from Batman 66.
Quoted from Coyote:You're good people.
Had to haggle with my landlord to get permission for another cat. But, she's cool and said yes.
Odin is badly misnamed. He looks pretty noble, hence the name Odin. But his behavior is clearly 100% Loki.
Quoted from Birdnest:Sadly we had to say goodbye to Dorito this weekend
Sorry to hear that.
One of my cats is definitely bonded to my youngest son, and secondarily favors my wife. I am a poor substitute when she's lonely and neither of those humans are available for emergency snuggles.
My other cat is bored with all of us. Unless he can see the bottom of the food dish or thinks it's Caturday(the traditional wet cat food day of the week), though on rare occasions, he wants in the bedroom first thing in the morning for a good ruggle.
