Quoted from Svendtube:Stefan got into the cat free zone
No such thing as a cat free zone...just cat zones, and zones in which a cat has decided not to visit yet.
Our cats always try to sneak in the attic. Curiosity killed the cat as they say. Don’t be toooooo hard on yourself. Cats have nine lives anyways the only real danger is lack of water for an older male cat. With diminished kidney function it can cause problems. I’d watch to make sure their drinking and peeing ok for a day, after that I’d assume they’re fine. If he’s trying to mate anything, I’d assume he’s good to go, if he was in trouble he’d be in hiding. Just love em up and if it helps the wife run them to the vet for a quick blood panel. It’ll show hydration and kidney function. Pic is my mittens givn pac man some love.
Quoted from Wmsfan-GAP:Looks like she has the super bright LED's installed!
That’s the new coffin lock mod!
Looks like ur ready to go with two locked balls!
Quoted from newovad:No photo or video proof but I brought a Royal Flush home today and got a scare. Had it on the dolly with the head off, got it in the house and set it in the entry way. Moved it a few minutes later towards the basement stairs and set it back down. Out crawled my cat, Eli. Good thing it wasn’t going into the basement today. He would’ve been in for a rough ride.
He prob woulda jumped out mid ride, scared the crap out of you, you let get of machine, and down the stairs it would tumble into a splintered mess....so it’s a good thing you didn’t take it down tonight!
My old boy Smokey had to have that done once. He bounced back and lived another decade. We’ll be thinking of Hobbes for ya!
Quoted from someotherguy:Hoping the best for y'all. For some reason male cats seem to be more susceptible to urinary tract issues and a lot of it comes down to their diet. Talk with the vet about that, though I'm assuming the subject has probably already come up. My aunt had a Burmese male that had cystitis and it was resolved by changing him to a particular dry food (I think it was the original Science Diet way back in the day.)
Richard
Yes, after Smokey had his hospital visit we switched him to a “urinary tract” formula. He never had another problem. Science diet makes one as does Purina ones brand. Smokey preferred the purina brand actually. And yes according to vet it’s the males that have it the worst.
That’s great news on Hobbes! When we brought Smokey home he was very cuddly for a few days, kept rubbing on us to get the scent of the vet off him!
Quoted from RWH:You know I've never been a "cat" guy but I follow this thread and beginning to think maybe I haven't given them a fair chance especially seeing from comments here about how much they appear to contribute to the lives they touch. Seriously going to have an earnest conversation with the wife tonight about getting a kitten or perhaps a grown cat from the shelter in town. I say kitten due to having two small dogs and I thought maybe they could or would bond better that way. Trying to avoid any pre-prejudice an older cat may have towards dogs, don't want fighting going on between them.
Have any of you had a good experience with this and was it young kitten, or older cat?
A shelter should be able to recommend a cat or kitten that has been exposed to and socialized with dogs before. Cats are like people, some just like dogs and some don’t. But a shelter should kno who’s who. Ask the volunteers, they know more than staff in many cases as they give them snuggle time and may notice if the kitty is anxious around Fido.
Wow, kitty in a bag delivered to your door! I need one! Sealed for freshness Are they delivered with prime?
Quoted from TractorDoc:Photobombed while taking pictures of the new tumbler for the Paragon thread. Looks too much like a food bowl I guess?

More like a massaging litter box
Quoted from iamdrunker:Sold my Champ to a buddy of mine. Looks like BOTH of these 2-1/2 year old's are having a good time.[quoted image]
That’s the future of pinball right there. If we can get them interested, they’ll keep it alive. Who says analog is dead.
Quoted from MrMikeman:My cute Roxy (burmese/occicat mix) trying to be a TREX. Lol.[quoted image][quoted image]
By the look of those claws I’d say she’s half way there!
Quoted from Saddath:Haha great. Mine is a little odd too sometimes

Such a cute kit!
Mine sits on his butt like that too! His hips arent right or something, to lay down he literally falls over sideways. Ive even caught him standing and taking a couple steps on his hind legs.
We’re hamster sitting this week. Sons girlfriend left her hamster with us while she vacations with her family. Cats like the company apparently. “Hammy” likes rolling around in her ball, and cats nudge her when she gets stuck. I dont think they consider it dinner and entertainment…… at least i hope not!
