Actually he was trying to find a dropped screw.
Quoted from sammiesguys:That's an interesting question. But unless your cat actively scratches at the glass, I doubt he poses much of a problem.
I know my cats were able to scratch ordinary safety glass. I got a brand new sheet for a game a few yrs ago and its got some scratches already. I would be SCARED to have invisglass around my cats lol

that surprising, their nails are nothing more than fingernails it terms or hardness. They shouldnt be able to scratch glass at all

I will see if I can get some good pix. I agree I was a little surprised but I can tell you I don't lay any tools or metal or anything on the glass. I am also careful with the glass when removing it. I am however constantly cleaning footprints and cat hair off the games.
Our cat got out yesterday and his been gone for 24 hours now. We looked for her for 8 solid hours with no luck. I have been searching all morning for her and still missing.
Cats rarely go more than 3 houses away, put out fresh water and food-they generally will be back in a day or so unless they get trapped in a garage with an automatic door, then a day or so longer. Good luck, Im sure it will be back.
I have the original PDI optical glass, 5 cats in the house and no scratches. They've been on top of the glass more than I'd like. If they jump up onto the glass they have no reason to push their claws out as they want to land on their paw pads I would assume.

Scary. Hoping you get her back with no issues.
My cat loves pinball. She discovered X-Men was new to the line up:

She found creative ways to get inside Dr. Dude every time I looked away. This is when it was standing on end with the glass on:

And she loved going in the cab when I had the door off and crawling out into the playfield through the mixmaster hole. (She hasn't hurt anything, though I would keep her out of EM cabs because a cat on a relay board wouldn't be such a good idea)

The problem with cats is that they are nosey and get trapped in things. Mine gets shut in the neighbors garage all the time. If nothing happens to them they have the ability to find their way home from miles away.
Quoted from zr11990:Ugh, Hey Hardware, your cat is bald.
Yeah, I turned on the pin without knowing he was inside. Ah well, we have 3 others with hair yet.
We had a cat when I was a child that never meowed and was stuck in a file cabinet drawer for 2 days.
Quoted from BowlingJim:Our cat came home today after 3 days.
That's great. Now watch that cat. Had a friend that had the cat get out a couple of times. Once they get out that's all they want. They crave it. One time was one to many and the cat never made it home.
Again glad to hear you had a happy reunion.
Chris
She is at the door constantly so yesterday I got a squirt bottle and filled it with water every time I opened the door and she came up to it I squirted her and said no she rand away. Today I did not even have to squirt her she saw me pick up the bottle and ran so I hope this makes it a little better for trying to keep her inside.
Quoted from NYP:OK time to put the hardware on the back of the cabinet when my helper shows up

... Thing ...
Aside from small boxed in spaces, cats love clutter! I remember when I was a kid that my cat used to love sleeping on my bed when I left my toys on it. Later he learned to sleep under the covers just like us humans do. A pinball machine is the perfect blend of tight space and clutter so it's no wonder some want to go inside.
Thanks for the pictures!

No pictures to share, but like everyone else here, when I first got my kitten, she loved dark warm places. I left the coin door open on my TZ, and she went in it, while it was on. Unfortunately for me, I then hit the start button. This scared the crap out of her, and she barrelled out of the cabinet, right into my groin.
Now she runs from the room every time the game starts up.
Quoted from CaptainNeo:you had the coin door open upon startup?
Yeah, I often do. (Which is probably good in this case.. if I had closed it and THEN started a game while she was in there... no telling what would happen.)
