Agreed! He looks very happy!
Quoted from scubadiver6:My buddy, Weasley…. Was rescued from a kill-shelter a few hours before him time was up…. Such a great cat who loves everybody he meets!
[quoted image]
Thank you for rescuing him!
Quoted from beergut666:I have the INDISC stream on while I'm playing some Walking Dead. I look over and see my cat Clyde is enjoying some classics. He sat like that and watched for the duration of the game.

He leaves a nice tip in the jar also when watching

Well, there is a Walking Dead in here, lots of swearing!
Cats but no pinball
Here is a shot of some of the brood.
Jack is in the middle wrapped like burrito
with his younger siblings surrounding him.
Jack is nearly 20 yrs old,
and the other cats respect him
and my wife thinks they know he does not have much longer
to spend with us.
Tippy the Torti, especially spends the most time with Jack
cuddling with him often.
Jack still has a good appetite and can still jump up ontop of our cabinet counters,
but he is not quite as steady on his feet when walking around.
Quoted from bigguybbr:Butters patiently waiting for me to turn on the machine
What a purrfect name for a ginger!
Quoted from Atari_Daze:What a purrfect name for a ginger!
His personality is really like Butters Stoch from South Park. That’s how he got his name.
Here is Jack, 19-1/2 years old. Possibly a bit confused that kitchen sink is a cat bed or cat box. My wife claims he is getting confused and senile. She is convinced he only has weeks to live. He is pretty much just skin and bones, but still loves his squeezable cat treats and fairly good appetite. He has had a fascination with the sink , prefering at times drinking water from dishes in the sink.
I don't know if this is the neighbor's cat and he just likes it better here or if someone dumped him out here at the end of the road and now he's as much mine as anyone else's? Anyway he's friendly as heck and can often be found napping somewhere around here. He looks like a black panther so he gets called Huey. He's inspecting a Coffee-Mat Star Battle at the moment.

I wish I could upvote this twice because we also had a cat named Pinot. One of the best cats I ever had.

I am sorry to say that we had to let Jack go to heaven yesterday afternoon.
Since Friday his condition declined fairly rapidly,
he lost his appetite, and lost his ability to jump up on top of the kitchen counter
or even onto our bed.
The last couple of days when walking he could hardly take 3-4 steps without falling over.
It was definitely time to say goodbye.
My wife is having a especially hard time of it, as Jack was with her everyday,
longer than any living being in her life, longer than me.
Jack was there to comfort her 15 yrs ago when she tragically lost her daughter to an car accident.
Jack is now with Mackenzie and Dewey dog, who we lost 6 months ago.

Awe man, so sorry for your loss of Jack. The worst part of being a pet parent, seeing them go.
Glad Dewey and Mac now have another friend though.

Sorry to hear but you wouldn’t want him to suffer.

So hard when we lose our pet family members. We feel your loss.
We need upvotes and downvotes and a sympathy vote for this cat and dog thread...
Just don't feel right upvoting a sad loss.

Word. Sorry to hear about Jack…
Jack looked like a kind and wise soul. 19.5 years is a lifetime and yet also not nearly enough time together. The pain of losing a friend is awful, but it is the sad cost of the joy and love he brought you over the years.
Thanks for sharing him with us.

I am so very sorry for both of your losses. You gave Jack some amazing years.
Chris
Thanks for all the condolences.
I may post more photos and stories in the pinside basement.
Thinking of calling the blog
"My Nine Lives"
as with Jack
we used to have 9 cats, now down to eight.
So Apparently Casper had a litter of at least 3 before she got fixed. I had only seen one at a time until today so thought there was only one.
Whoops was I wrong.
Luckily their lopped ears indicate they have been fixed.
I think they will be known as Larry, Curly and Mo.
