Quoted from pyrotech:

So, sorry for your lose. Beans had a tumor in his bladder. He lasted about one month about we received the message about the tumor.

Sorry to hear.. It isn't easy, especially after being around for soo many years.. Knowing he isn't in discomfort anymore made it easier to deal with.

A pic of our new kitten “Boo”. I haven't tried to introduce her to the pinball machines yet.

Bengal?

No just a tabby cat although she has spots on her tummy. Cute little shit and very active.

When I first looked at the picture, it looked like she didn't have a tail.

Would think the posts be more fun for him/her.

#3509 2 years ago

This was his first chance as a helper. The rollover wires intrigued him. Then he discovered the posts. Shortly thereafter, he was back on the floor. He did not last too long as a helper. Luckily he can't jump up on the machines yet, so he didn't get to finish his destruction.

Cheeseburger inspecting my wall art project. It didn’t give him treats, so he lost interest after about 10 seconds. His brother briefly sniffs my work in there too.

Do you have a thread on how you made this? Love how the lights are sequenced. Very cool! Cute cat too

Our cat Beaker lost his battle with kidney failure in September. He was my buddy for over fourteen years, and while he could be pushy and demanding he was also cuddly and adorable.

The vet we had been using was not good about suggesting testing and even worse about explaining treatments, thankfully we got a recommendation from a friend for a much better and more compassionate vet so we know that we did what we could to keep him comfortable and happy.

Sorry for lose of your family member Beaker. You have great memories of the 14yrs with him. I understand we had to put down our Beans after 18yrs. Once again so sorry for your lose. Frank

That's really well done

#3542 2 years ago
Quoted from Jenniebear:

Do they all get along?

Surprizingly they do all get along fairly well.
There is about 1 dust up each day,
but they are all very short lived, maybe 1-2 seconds long
and are more about crying and a bop or two then running away
than any real fighting or fur flying.
There are a couple that are the ones that tend to get into it more than others
or have a grudge against a specific brother or sister.
but they are generally all well behaved most of the time.
With the exception of our oldest 17yr old Jack,
all were brought into the family from shelters as kittens
about 4-8 months apart. The others range in age from 2 to 6 yrs old.
They even get along with our 16yr old dog Dewey.

I thought I was the only one! Wife and I have 8 in the house and a fat guy named Chili who showed up outside, you guessed it, in the winter It's been almost a year and he's just now letting us pet him. Just got him all cleaned up the other day since he let us use the brush to get out all his knots!

I suppose when your wife works at the vet clinic, these things happen. Not that I've never encouraged another cuddly buddy........

#3544 2 years ago

We have 9 indoor only cats.
but we too also have an outdoor only feral cat
we have been feeding him regular for nearly a yr now, but he is still
very stand-offish and barely lets us pet him on occasion without swatting and hissing at us.
My wife used to volunteer at the Humane society, but gave that up as it was too tempting
to adopt more kitties and besides the shelter worked her old frame too hard, giving her all the sh*t chores;
while the paid employees just f*cked off and chatted.
