Quoted from Charlemagne1987:I know this isn’t “cats and pinball” and this isn’t even my cat, but I saw this pure bred Maine Coon today and had to post it. This is the most beautiful cat I’ve ever seen. Check out those ears. He looks like a lynx. The owner told me he bought him for $1800 a year and a half ago. And now the breeder is selling them for $2400.

Love those huge Maine Coons. Would love to adopt one some day.

Pretty sure our cat is part Maine Coon. He is BIG, and has the wisps of fur on his ears like they do.

Quoted from Electrocute:

Love those huge Maine Coons. Would love to adopt one some day.

We think one of our guys is part Maine Coon. I guess we could get that pet DNA thing done, but I don't know if we care that much. LOL

Just to be clear: I’m all about adopting. Every cat I’ve ever had was adopted (and I’ve had a lot over my lifetime), but I don’t begrudge people from making the choice to buy a pure bred. My post was simply an appreciation for what I considered to be a beautiful cat. Being from Maine originally I have a great appreciation for Maine Coons. They’re wonderful cats with a calm, laid back nature.

I miss her...

My sympathies!! I just lost a 15 year old calico a week ago. Such pain in the heart. 20 long years is amazing. I hope you had a lot of good times!

So sorry to hear this. Just remember the wonderful like you gave her! Most cats never get to see a pinball machine, let alone lounge inside of one!

Aw, that really is too bad, and I'm sorry for your loss. But do remember that you gave her 20 years of a great home, love, safety, food, and security. She *knew* she was loved, for certain. Remember her well, and know that she loved you back.

Tim at Pinball Hall of Fame has some kittens that need adopting.
P.S. new PHOF on the Vegas Strip, is now open for business this week.

Quoted from timarnold:

Porange Cat has been chilling at one of our volunteers house, waiting until after we get settled. We are also making avaliable a few of the famous YARD CATS. They are a set of 2, brother and sister, less than a year old, fixed and house trained that need a home. Then late last week, another yard cat, ROY has 5 kittens. They are too small to move yet, but same deal. Take one or take them all, we will get them spayed-neutered and get their shots up to date. Roy's name has been changed to "Roy-lynn"

\\
Tim needs help moving pins and adopting kittens.

Quoted from timarnold:

Got all our permits and license TODAY!

Spent the day today moving machines. The last day on Trop will be tomorrow, Tuesday. Then we open on the Strip on Wed. morning.
If you can help us move, we need strong people for the whole next week.
Call at 702 597-2627 or email [email protected]
Also, we found another baby hiding under Roy-lynn. So that's 6 kittens!

She never has slept up there before but she has been known to nap on shipping blankets when they’re around.

I didn’t even notice her there until I walked by.

Black cats always gets a bad wrap.

Quoted from pyrotech:

They do, and honestly I had NEVER considered getting a black cat. No real reason, just never crossed my mind. We got Hobbes (and his brother Calvin) and honestly, he is the coolest cat I have ever had. Such a personality, and he's definitely "my" cat. Luckily Calvin is more affectionate with my wife, so she doesn't get jealous, LOL.

I will always consider a black cat first from now on. They are awesome! Unless there's an Abyssinian. Then the black cat would be a close second

Best thing about adopting two is you don’t have to worry about buying kitty toys. Just stuff being knocked over and loss of sleep.
