I need some help from my cell cat parents. Violet has skin issues and has since we rescued her. She’s been scratching open a sore on her head. I’m trying to get a vet appointment but our vets office just lost a vet and are out 3-4 weeks.

I ordered a cone and a blow up thing but I was wondering if anyone else had a trick to keep their cat from scratching their head while I wait for it to arrive.

It’s right in front of her ear.

My childhood cat got some weird skin thing next to his nose. Was a bacterial type infection and the vet had us put vagisil on it and made him wear the come of shame so he wouldn't lick it off. After about 2 weeks he was healed, took a few months for his for to grow back, but it eventually did.

In my limited experience owning cats, that sounds like a 'hot spot'.

Walrus had a big hot spot on his neck when we got him and had been treated and shaved there. I just know it healed quickly after he arrived.

Walrus turned out to be the coolest cat ever. My favorite memories were working at home, and I would call his name, and hear him rumbling through the house and arrive in my office doorway, then I would pat my leg and he would jump right up and settle in for hours. He seemed to behave like a dog, always running to the door to welcome guests and sit with them. On a vet visit, I pulled him out of the carrier and sat him on the table and the vet commented "Wow, Great Cat". I guess he could tell.

After many cones this is the one I ended up being successful with. I bought it at Petco. I actually use zip ties to secure it around the neck with two fingers in between. Cats can be very obsessive and aggressive when it comes to cleaning a wound. I know you have already ordered a cone online but I would suggest going to your local pet store and buying one now. I usually take it off during supervised feeding and drinking time and then put it back on. Just remember you are helping not punishing your cat even if they think otherwise.

Brought the T-Rex in for the winter, however the cat couldn't figure out what it was doing inside.

These are some really expensive cat trees. The best thing is, that when I'm playing, they each have a favorite. Clyde (grey cat) is obsessed with Walking Dead, while Waffles (orange) prefers Iron Maiden.

I’ve posted the original photo before, but I thought y’all might like to see the custom paint-by-numbers kit I did using my favorite picture of our cat up on a pin.

I used this company—had a bad experience w/a different place but I’ve ordered from here a couple of times now and gotten great service every time.

Now that is a crazy coincidence and piece of foreshadowing. He was found near an abattoir being crazily harassed by the local rooster so we adopted him. Ironically named him Rooster.

A couple weeks later the wounds caused an infected eye and he had to have it removed.

So no, but wow!

Most likely a Bengal. They're beautiful cats.

Not directly pinball related, but cat realated.

This was spotted outside my parent's home, the day after *I* went home to my cats..

I wonder if they normally keep fish in that fountain. Probably not that bobcats first visit.

A little taller than the Wizard that sat in this place before but he still managed to make it up there. He seemed pretty proud of himself as he's not getting any younger.

No need. He thinks he's a dog.

No fish, but during non-winter months, it's used a lot by local wildlife as a water source. Likely she's pissed it's frozen over.

#2885 3 years ago
Quoted from girloveswaffles:

Give him time, He's still at that age where he's still learning what he can get on top of or into.
Snake-Jazz has been pretty good about not getting up onto things like furniture, but for some reason, every time she gets into the Garage, she goes straight for the table with the iMac and gets up there.

My cat was missing for 3 days and we had started to think that he was gone for good. We opened a drawer and he was in it. The drawer was only about 4 inches deep. We never heard him cry and he did not pee or poop in the drawer. No idea how that happened.

That is crazy! We have 2 cats right now, both from the same litter. We got the first for a few days before it became obvious that he needed a companion - so we called the shelter and got his sister too. Once she arrived, after about a day we couldn’t find the male cat. Several hours later his sister is sitting, staring at a drawer in my bureau. I finally opened the drawer... look who’s there! No sounds, no noise, nothing.!!
