Good Bye to an old friend
One Eyed Jack aka Kevin aka Boo Kitty

My next door neighbor is moving and taking the cat with him to a new home about 3 miles away.
The cat is semi-feral.
Really he belongs to someone that moved out of the country, and dumped it at
my neighbor on the north, where it hangs maybe 10% of the time.
But the cat probably spends about 50% of its time in our backyard and back deck.
The other 40% of the time it was at the neighbors on the south (the one moving)
It is a very friendly to humans and gets along fine with our dog Dewey.
But does not get along with any other cats in the neighborhood, nor our cats, which are totally indoors.
Fighting is probably how he lost one eye, he was constantly showing up with some new battle scar.
Though again very affectionate to people.
We fed him twice a day, gave him flea meds once a month, but never really gave him the attention he craves,
in part because we could not let him near our cats, otherwize chaos and fur flying.
The neighbor on the south did allow the cat into his house and even sleep over during the night.
But the cat appears to spent more time in our yard and napping on the deck during the day.
And he would meow loudly at 5AM most every day demanding his tuna.
He would also pounce at our bedroom french door windows out to the deck
and "fight" with our cats gazing out thru the glass.
I will miss him, but the people taking him do deserve him as they gave him the most attention.
I hope to still be able to come visit him at his new home.
