Haven't played pinball all week, but sure enough, turn it on and there is princess....ok ok, I'll try next one over....nope....
Lol.

Sorry, my 4-5 year old phone has a pretty messed up camera...but you get the idea of the little brat

When people complain that Pinside is less helpful these days, I blame cats.

Trying to help out a BSD owner and crack open the game and the manual. Whichever one I need, is the one he gravitates towards. The best thing I ever did was buy a wireless keyboard that I can turn off, otherwise, he'd be helping me type this message too.

I had a cat in college named Moses. Every time I was studying for an exam, he'd jump up on the desk and lay on either my notes or my book. I learned pretty quickly that the key was decoy books. Sit down with a book you don't care about. Wait until they lay on that book and slide it out of the way with them still on it. Then you can concentrate on the book you do need and they will be content laying on the first book.

Soooo....your saying I should buy some "decoy" pinball machines?

I'm thinking decoy human on the decoy machine. Set up a mannequin with hands on the flippers and see if the cat will hang out there instead of on the game I'm playing.

I like your thinking - now I just need to find room for the "decoy pinball machines" - no longer my fault the cats made me do it

Always love when we get a good shot of Sadie, the first is so striking. I promise that the second isn't photoshopped!

Dorito was a mob cat in a previous life - pay the treat or I will get right up and personal - nothing like having rob zombie trashing you for draining when you can’t even see the play-field

This was probably a once in a lifetime event. I’m glad the cats enjoyed it.

You should keep the box for a while to give them a fort to play in.

Quoted from Nokoro:

That's the plan. Katniss, the torby, likes to rip boxes to shreds with her teeth. This box might be beyond her abilities.

I was trying to upload some more of my cat and pinball pics the other day but Pinside wasn't letting me do it. So, I decided to upload them all to my website. Enjoy: https://www.afpinball.com/pinball-cats.html

Shop Cat likes being involved. I used up my credits while playing a few games over lunch, opened the door to add a few more and she hopped in. Thought I better turn off the game to avoid smelling fried pussycat. . . and she decided to stay put.

Next time I'll be sure to have some quarters handy.

Ain't it funny how they are, mine could care less about a pin for months, the second I open the door and turn around POOF, here they come.
Same thing with my Cameo. It could sit out for days unplugged and they ignore it, the second it powers up, here she comes! I mean the Cameo I get, the material being cut moving around and all but the coin door thing is a head scratcher!

Mother not around?

#1976 4 years ago
Quoted from Electrocute:

Mother not around?

Im not sure. I'm keeping eye on them.

Have a couple neighbors who don't control their cats right. And I usually see a couple litters a year by one neighbor's house.

So, Maybe they belong there. I don't think they are abandoned or anything....more like playing in my yard. Lol.

No worries, if I don't see them running off home etc, I'll make sure they are at least cared for

#1977 4 years ago

Instead of a treat or toys, do you guys think I should should maybe wheel an old pinball out to them in yard and see how they take to it?

#1978 4 years ago

I’d check to see if they’re feral. Hopefully not.

#1979 4 years ago

My suggestion is if you can't keep them then take them to a shelter. A chance to get a better home than the one they're in where the owners just let them go outside.

#1980 4 years ago
Quoted from Electrocute:

Im not sure how to tell, they are kittens and a little shy. But they didn't run away from me, just a little timid.

I noticed another kitty by them just now who wasn't full size looking, but definitely older. He popped back over fence to neighbors house. Kitties seemed to want to follow, but started frolicking in yard in front of me instead.

I'll give them some distance and just watch for now, but I'm pretty sure it's just YET MORE kittens from neighbors pet.

I get frustrated with neighbors that let this happen constantly.....but it's not the kittens faults.

#1981 4 years ago

People like that don't deserve to own a cat or any animal for that matter. Our cats are always indoors and fixed.

#1982 4 years ago
Quoted from Captainhook:

Yeah, I keep kitties inside BECAUSE I care.

I watched them frolicking a bit, went in garage, and when I popped head back out they were gone.

Either mom came and grabbed them, or they found a gap in fence to get back out. But it was pretty quick (couple minutes) so, they must have known where they wanted to go...

I'll keep an eye out.

#1983 4 years ago

I do think neighbors give kittens away and make sure they are all taken care of ar least....not let them survive on own.

But it like wtf! Get fixed/don't let wander all over!

#1984 4 years ago

We have a neighbor who is exactly the same way. They let the cat roam around the neighborhood and it's not fixed and it's having kittens.

I need help and I figure this is the perfect thread for it.

My dilemma. I have 2 American shorthair cats. Brother and sister, very lovable with 2 different personalities. They are 7 years old.

My girlfriend is allergic to them...things are getting more serious and more permanent between us. Talking about moving in together, etc.

Is anyone looking for 2 cats?

Note, I’m not just going to hand them over to anyone. I need to make sure they will be treated and cared for the same way I have with them.

My dream scenario would be to see them with a family.

If anyone has any interest, please contact me. I’m located in Monmouth County NJ.

I refuse to give them to Petco or the SPCA. I couldn’t do that to them.

Thats a real bummer. Would allergy shots help, or do they not exist for cat allergies?

I’m sure you’ll find a nice home for them. If I was closer and didn’t already have two cats and a dog ....

#1989 4 years ago

Funny thing, i was thinking if the playfield glass was strong enough to support a cat, was worried if it could break, looking for my first pin to buy and was worried about that. Guess that thread answer my question lol.

They definitely will not break the glass. One of my cats would constantly jump up and down from the back box. When he landed on the glass, it would make an awful noise, but never hurt anything.

I don’t worry about the glass at all after seeing this:

It would be way easier to find someone to take the defective gf. Or tell her to wait ten-twenty years until the cats are gone.

Picked up a Paragon over the weekend. Need to post a thread to get some help. Checking the schematics to ensure I've got my numbers down. I forgot to put my fake papers out for a cat to lay on.

According to my research (and my avatar), Katniss is a Bally Girl, it seems.
