Card Whizzed

Just started collecting Gottliebs. Bought my first that needs repair. Gottlieb Card Whiz. Powers on. Backglass lights up. I can manually kick the reset control relay and the motor goes through a cycle. Lower playfield then lights up but I can't get the game to reset for active play. Tint circuit acts correctly. Any ideas? Think it is worth getting a service manual?

No idea if a manual is available for your game. I'd try Steve Young for a schematic. http://www.pbresource.com/

You probably have more than one thing going on. 2 or 3 things need to happen for the reset control relay, and you'll need to check each of them that they are working.
