Quoted from mcbPalisade:Anyone ever participated in one of these? Can't really tell how they work.
Is it streaming like YT or ?
Thanks, I'm such a DOTARD sometimes (word of the day)
The auction runs all day so I can't imagine being there in person, would be exhausting. I do them purely online via the Bidspotter website. It's real time and you can hear audio, but no video. You can get deals there but it's very difficult both because of fees and because there are bidding shills in the audience artificially raising prices. The best deals are had much later in the auction, like after 9pm when people are tired and/or have left. Plus when it gets that late in the auction the auctioneer won't sit on a bid for anywhere near as long as he does in the beginning of the auction. It's better for getting deals on arcade machines, but on a rare occasion you can get a deal on a pin.
