This is today 11 AM Pacific preview at 9 (now).

I won't be bidding on anything but am curious to see what things go for.

Anyone ever participated in one of these? Can't really tell how they work.

Is it streaming like YT or ?

Thanks, I'm such a DOTARD sometimes (word of the day)

I think bidspot covers it. After all the fees sometimes hard to get a deal, but it could happen.

Speaking of this, what is a good source of what pins should cost? I saw a book for sale, is that the authority? I've been told that some of the values you see on the web can be way off.

Mr.Pinball, pinside, will give you an idea of where prices should be.

The auction runs all day so I can't imagine being there in person, would be exhausting. I do them purely online via the Bidspotter website. It's real time and you can hear audio, but no video. You can get deals there but it's very difficult both because of fees and because there are bidding shills in the audience artificially raising prices. The best deals are had much later in the auction, like after 9pm when people are tired and/or have left. Plus when it gets that late in the auction the auctioneer won't sit on a bid for anywhere near as long as he does in the beginning of the auction. It's better for getting deals on arcade machines, but on a rare occasion you can get a deal on a pin.

I'm listening now, it really seems pretty amateur IMHO

I can't believe how inexpensively some of these arcade games sell for.

I assume that isn't the case with the pins

These guys are a real joke. "Lets fix the sound" which already sounded terrible. After the fix it was worse.

    I did find a picture of the auctioneer though ( - :

So I’m just watching online while I do other work. A GOTG Pro comes up NIB. Final hammer price $6500 ! Add in buyers premium and tax and you are at over $8k. WTH ? I get if you might overpay for a used pin that you aren’t sure how to value. But how do you pay $3000 more than you can buy the game new from a distributor for ? Doesn’t anyone have a phone with internet there ? Ok I’ll step off the soap box and stop playing captain obvious here.
