Hello to all!

Im working on a new project and as the title says, I have no lights on the back box nor chimes. This is what I have checked:

- Fuse holders (next to tilt mech) are clean and tight, new fuses,
- Jones plugs (next to tilt mech) were cleaned and sanded (no burnt connector)
- Jones plugs at the back box and at the main board were cleaned and sanded

One thing that I noticed though. When I turned on the machine after being unplugged for about 2-3 weeks, the back box lights came up, very dim though. I will start a game and by each flipping at the flipper, the light will lit stronger (normal brightness) but it will come dim (flip=normal brightness, release flipper=dim)

Any ideas?

Also, before a game I will manually move the reels for all 4 players to any number. I will start a game and the reels will reset as expected, but no scoring will be made during a game, the score motor does work, I will manually hit targets and I can see the score motor turn but no chimes nor the scores reels will move.

Other idea?

Thanks to all in advance!

No lights in the backbox would probably be a Jones plug connection issue or a fuse issue. Double check the fuse block with the white/green wire and brown wire. Make sure the 15 amp fuse is not blown, and check the tension on the fuse block holder clips. Most likely this will be a fuse/fuse block issue if the lights are off at the coin door.

When you reset the game, does the ball kick to the ball shooter lane? Do the flippers work? If the ball kicks to the shooter lane, this means the machine has completed the reset process. If not, then the machine has done an incomplete reset process - ie score reels reset to zero then score motor stops.

If you hit a target and the score motor runs, but there is no scoring, it might be an issue with the point relay circuits. Check the following switches in the 10, 100 and 1000 point relay circuit:

Tilt relay switch - red wire and red/white wire
Game over relay switch - yellow/black wire and red/white wire
Reset relay switch - black wire and yellow/black wire

Make sure these switches are clean and adjusted properly...
