100 Point Re. Has an Orange with Black trace wire with cloth insulation. I’m trying to find out where the other end should be soldered. Assistance appreciated.

There's a schematic on IPDB.org.

The orange-black wire (in the red box) connects a switch on the 100 point relay to the 9th position switch on the 100 point score reel on each of the four players. Your loose wire is probably missing from a solder tab on one of those five switches.

The 9th position switch closes when the score reel shows a 9.

I was looking all over for that on the schematics. glad you found it as I was about to give up.

think I got the right switch stack circled ... but wire tab got clipped in the photo.

I very much appreciate the replies. The mystery deepens for me. I had found the spot on the schematic and accounted for all 5 switch connections. I just noticed that the mystery wire is the only cloth insulation wire in the head. It happens to be the same colour as the plastic insulated wire that it is soldered to at the 100 Point Re. Perhaps I am dealing with a repair from a previous owner. What are the odds they would use a wire with the same colour?
I will have to compare with another Captain Fantastic to ensure it does not belong at all.

Just checked my machine. Just the 2 org/blk plastic runs. No Cloth. Wonder if someone was using the cloth for testing.

This confirms it. The wire is coming out.
