Working on a CF and it always starts with 4 players. Coin unit and player unit both clean and working correctly. Checked everything in those circuits and they work properly. I have been looking at it for too long and probably need a break. Has anyone solved this issue? Thanks in advance!

Manually put the coin unit back to the first position. Does it advance 4 times? Does it attempt to advance once but moves 4 positions. If it's on player four and you turn it on and start a game does it reset correctly?

Manually put it in the first position. It does not advance 4 times. It resets correctly if in the 4th player position when I start a game.

Looks like it could be either or both of the make/breaks shown here, and/or the SM sw.

If the Coin Unit "works correctly", are you saying it is in the "reset", or first position and the 1-4 can play lights have the "4" lit?

If the Ball Count stepup solenoid doesn't activate when this happens, Inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires, starting with the Coin Unit disc
