I recently purchased a decent Capt. and the left sling shoot contact is sparking when the ball makes contact. I am going to work on it when I get home from work tonight, but thought I would ask to see what could be causing this to happen?? The contacts on the right sling shoot are not sparking, only the two on the left side. Is this from a short?

The spark seems really excessive. The spark on the right side is small to non-noticeable, so how should I fix the large spark?

When someone is playing you can see the spark from across the room.

Is there a gap distance that should be maintained on the sling shoot contact?
