I recently bought a Capcom Airborne and love it so far. The game plays fast but is pretty dirty so I'm going to be shopping it out down to road.

Before I do that I have a couple questions. First off, the backbox is missing the lock. Where do I find a replacement? I looked at all the normal places with no luck.

Secondly, the legs on it currently are Williams stainless but the flyer shows black. Are these textured or smooth black?

I also need to replace some targets as they are pretty rough, what do I use as replacements? I've looked in the manual and I cannot find the correct number on supplier sites.

congrats on the Airborne...great game...and am working on mine now, (have an opto that is broken in one of the scoops)

Mine has the silver legs as well. Not sure about the lock...but I am sure someone will be jumping in on this...

Never owned a Capcom. Does it take a different lock from B/Ws?
If so, Happ has a crapload of different locks.

Is it missing the lock or the lock and bracket?

The bracket is a custom Capcom piece and you'll likely have to have one made as noone had any when I needed one for a Breakshot.

Its missing the bracket as well.

Anyone have a pic, I could make one myself if I see what it looks like.

Anyone have one for sale or could take a couple pics?

Here we go...the bracket does not extend around the back of the frame, just the front and bottom where the lock is located. Good luck with this project Rockinganker..

Thanks a ton burningman, that is exactly what I needed.

Those are pretty simple, I could reproduce those super quick and easy. I will be reproducing the infamous clear center shroud with my CNC and acrylic bender.

Definitely post on your progress of your Airborne.

Something cool that is coming up. Herg, aka LED OCD is considering doing a project to try to eleminate flicker from capcom games...if you are into LEDing your game, you might be interested in this. I'll post as things progress...

Sorry, wrong game plastics.

Quoted from knazzo:

If you need some plastics I have 5 for sale. Plastic 020010-03 seems to be a prototype plastic (different color(silver)).

Different game. Those are for Airborne Aveneger (Atari).

The legs should be a textured powder coated black.

Ups, you are right. My mistake!

Quoted from gweempose:

The legs should be a textured powder coated black.

Genuine Capcom legs also have a yellow label on the inside near the levelers.

I'd have to go measure one, but I think that they may also be slightly longer than standard legs too. Capcom games should stand about an inch or so higher at the lockbar than a typical WMS game next to it.

Cheers,

Tony

Thanks for the info everyone.

The targets I need to replace are the stationary oblong, they look look Sega targets with the reinforced back.

Also, I was going to place an order for pop bumper parts as one of them is taller. Are these standard Williams assemblies for bodies, skirts and bases?

So far Capcom parts are a pain as they appear just like Sega/DE parts with a couple weird things thrown in the mix.

Thanks, it appears Pinball Spare Parts is the Capcom go to site.

Thanks again everyone
