Hello,
I'm working on my SBM pinball, it was 100% and then one day I turned it on and I could smell something in the backbox had "let the smoke out".
All 4 of my displays have an overheated R48.
It took out my 3/16 amp high voltage fuse (blown) Replaced, turned on, and watched.
It immediately heated the high voltage fuse but as it did it it flashed on the MPU by R-93 and C-64 C-64
I'm going to reflow the cracked header pins on the displays, (some were bad some were not). And Id like to replace the R-93 (1.2Kohm ) on the MPU.
My question is primarily about capacitors.
See the picture. My AS-2518-35 board has BI-Colored capacitors. The print shows that they are 470pF
Mine are half Red, Half Yellow.
I can't find modern ones that look like this... Does it matter if you "mix" styles on any given board? What would be the best replacement? If I do one, do I need to do all?
My C-64 and C-65 flashed when I powered it back up, and both have cracked pieces off of them.
Any thoughts would be helpful.
Thanks
