Just making sure I'm using the right parts. The physical size of the new capacitor is a quater the size.
    Any feedback appreciated.
    Original 11000 if 20 vdc
    New 12000 uf 25 v

Electronics are just made better, smaller, cheaper these days. You're new cap is actually rated for a higher maximum voltage. The capacitance (what matters as long as you don't exceed the maximum voltage rating) is slightly different, but depending on the application, shouldn't make any difference. I did take a number of electrical engineering courses in undergrad, but it's been a while, so take my opinion for what it cost you

You will be fine - just make sure the mounting is solid.

replaced the two capacitors and the reset issue seems to be gone. zip tied them to the board.

The original lasted 35 years; you'll be lucky to get 15 years out of the "new, improved" one.

Yes, zip ties have really gone down in quality.

Pandit makes the best. Still made in Tinley Park, Illinois.
