    On a Stren motor I need to replace the blue cap in the pic below will the green one pictured eork?

    0.1uF, 500V ceramic disc cap
    The green one will work fine.

    @TomT, why do you need to replace that cap?

    The original motor had issues to say the least and was blowing the fuse on startup the factory recommended changing the cap out with the new motor just as a precaution.

    I bought one of these a few years ago (not that vendor). Pretty amazing for $15. Tests transistors and FET's too (but struggles w/ Darlington configurations).

    Comes in handy in this type of situation. Don't even have to hook up the test leads in any particular order - just connect and press 'test'.

    I'd also look for a or pinched or shorted wire. And take a close look at the motor wire tabs - make sure they didn't shoved up against the motor case.

    Pretty sure something internal went bad with the original motor it locks up and won't spin without a lot of effort and this is with it not installed in the gearbox.
