Do you have any other dogs that might miss Casper as well?
I have had pets clearly mourn others before.
Quoted from Beaumistim:yes we had a cat and 2 other dogs, Casper was the "leader of the pack" they have been looking around for him quite a bit. It adds to the sadness
Will you be getting them another friend?
Quoted from Beaumistim:One last pic of my good boy[quoted image]
That's a great memory, even though I'm sure it's hard to look at right now.
I don't seem to have any pics of my gentleman on my phone, but it was tough when we lost him.
We currently have 3 dogs (all younger).
Quoted from Lethal_Inc:Our golden retriever Boo is without a doubt the best dog we have ever had. I am dreading the day we lose him. Dogs are truly a mans best friend and more times then not better than most people. Sorry for your loss!
How old is he?
Quoted from Beaumistim:well my dog of 13+ years died suddenly this morning. was hopping through the front room , right before i was about to leave and all of the sudden all four of his legs just kinda fell out from under him. then he couldnt get up. so i change my plans, take him directly to the vet, and we went to him walking a little, to barely breathing, then in about a minute or two completely gone. my kids were upset, my wife was upset, and i thought i was handling it well, but once i laid down to sleep, i cant sleep and got pretty emotional to myself. RIP to my main man Casper, your greatly missed![quoted image]
Is the family starting to feel any better?
Quoted from Beaumistim:well, my youngest pup is showing some real signs of depression. i never knew you were supposed to let them see and smell your dead pets. we had casper cremated and never brought him home. Ace the younger pup spends hours walking around the house, outside, all over looking for casper. its truly heartbreaking. now im like we need to get him another companion, but i also think its to damn soon.
Could you share some current pics of your other doggos?

I just wanted to touch base with you and see how you are doing? How is your family?
Quoted from V4Vendetta:Hope u r doing better. My shiba inu has about 2 good years left and my only wish is that my infant daughter remembers my kiba. God bless.
Hopefully that is a silver lining of this whole "stay at home" situation. You can spend more time with family and fur friends.
My dogs have been LOVING having me at home all the time.
Quoted from Goronic:Found out today our dog likely has cancer - he is going into surgery on Tuesday.
Anyone ever cried and played pinball at the same time?[quoted image]
Oh man...im so sorry to hear that. I am hoping you are your family will get through it ok.
Quoted from swampfire:We lost our Welsh Pembroke Corgi “Ronan” to hip disease and lung cancer when he turned 13 about 4 years ago. I made a memorial album and it made me feel a lot better:

I also started a Facebook group, “Wheelchair Dogs” a few months before he died, and it’s grown exponentially since then. I’d like to have another Corgi when I retire, or maybe sooner since I’m stuck at home now anyway. Dogs really are the glue that hold families together.
So sorry to hear that. Losing a pet is always difficult. My heart goes out to all those that have lost their fur friends.
