Trying to get into James Bond head
Guy I got it from left the game hooked up wirewise to the head ???
He started to drill the lock so it couldn’t even be picked

I’ve been trying to drill it out and turn crank it to loosen up the glass to come out and it’s not budging

Can someone offer some insight into this
Should I completely drill out the lock with a big drill bit ?? He seems to have hardened the metal inside the head

No slits in top and bottom access is limited as it’s still attached to the body

This is one strange situation but I’m looking for some help on how to open this gottlieb

I know certain widebodies use the latch and others have the hook in the bottom where you lift the whiteboard out

Either way I can’t get the backglass out to gain access

Any help is appreciated

Might need a good cobalt bit, much stronger, chews through metal. Drill right through, a new lock is 5$

Is that the best way for this head ?

I have a small hole drilled all the way through on the end but still not turning

Well turning a little but still not turning enough to release the head

Here is pic do i need to go bigger or how can I get this to release the backglass

It sounds like top of glass is touching metal lock

I had a Robowar and the backglass was a pain to get out.

Can someone verify which way the key should turn to get the glass out

Towards the front of the head the backglass or towards the back of the hood
One of the rougher heads I've dealt with and trying to be patient walked away twice already lol

Buy a carbide tip drill bit like this and use a drill with an impact setting.

I use a 3/8 bit.It takes the guts out of the lock.

Put a big flathead screwdriver in that slot then use a channel lock pliers for leverage to pop the lock . just some little tumblers in there

Quoted from whizz:

You need at the very least a 1/4" or bigger bit then like plowpusher says, put a large flathead screwdriver in and turn clockwise.

Thank you guys for the responses

Now I know why he didn't disconnect the head and why it was strapped to the body lol

Follow up on this

Worst lock ever came across
Took 3-4 times walking away in frustration

Drilled lock out more and that took a long time
Next inserted flat head
Twisted the flat and finally snapped loose

Success I thought
Nope flat head in the lock spinning 360 and still In the locked position
Guy before me must have gotten thru and it popped off the lock mechanism inside

After a good long look at it
I noticed one side seemed to be almost out At the bottom where the metal on the glass is
Even though it was in the lock position
I noticed I could just flex the bottom of the head wood enough to slide the glass out
This was a pretty risky procedure as there was decent tension on the bottom and top of the glass
But sure enough it worked and I got the glass out safely. I made sure to move fast but I’m not sure what else you could have done but cut a hole in the back of the head or something.

Thanks all for the recommendation
