Once tomorrow's update is done.. If you still have the quote problem please open for a bug with that. Perhaps mention quotes in the topic. That is worthy of reporting separately to avoid it getting lost in the noise.
My bad. From a language point of view you're right. From a programming point of view, it is a quoting and escaping problem; the apostrophe character is also know as single quote. the database language uses quotes - so quotes in values have to be handled specially.
