    Nice find!
I hope you'll join us over in the Pre-War Club!

    Quoted from Mpluff:

Thanks, I’ll be joining the club for sure!
What do you recommend for a cleaner on the playfield? I’m guessing I shouldn’t use novus? I don’t want to ruin the artwork.

    Definitely no Novus!
91% rubbing alcohol or vm&p naphtha with a soft cotton cloth. Those will clean well and evaporate quickly, so there's no damage to the wood. Get a respirator or mask if using naphtha.

    Quoted from thirdedition:

I would steer clear of the magic eraser, in my mind that is way more abrasive than novus 2. I've waxed our prewar pins and would highly recommend it.

Avoid Magic Eraser - it's basically sandpaper.
I recommend carnuba paste wax for all playfields.

Can they be cleaned? Maybe in an ultrasonic cleaner with dish soap?

Maybe cutting bamboo skewers to length and sanding down the ends? Hopefully they're about the same diameter.
No matter what, keep all the old plastic posts - they're pinball unobtanium!
