All that work and you pulled it imature so sad

I would have to disagree with you. Trichomes are cloudy with some golden. These plants were germinated end of Feb early March. Keep in mind I don't live in California so temp fluctuations can be a problem.Last night it dropped down to 53F and last week it went as high as 100F. There is a risk of stress, self pollination and seed formation that I need to get ahead of. I got a bunch of fully matured seeds from this plant while trimming but ell you what, those are only 2 minor branches off of just one plant. For shits and giggles I will delay harvesting the rest and see if you are right and post my findings. My prediction is that further delay will let the whole thing seed out and Rice Krispies won't be the only thing going snap , crackle and pop.
Quoted from SuperPinball:self pollination and seed formation
I believe the seeds are guaranteed female in this situation. But to have the whole plant turn into seeds sounds like it got germinated from another neighbor not knowing what they are doing. From My Indoor Experience if conditions caused self germinating I would be lucky to get a seed or two fully mature on an entire plant.

Or a bunch of hermies

That's the part that baffles me. All my plants are female and there are no other plants anywhere near my house. The only thing I could think of is the temperature fluctuation theory stressing the plant and causing self pollination. Seeds were given to me by a pot head friend of mine with no history of genetics so its just going to remain a mystery. My next batch will be indoor growth with much more stringent controls using seeds with known genetics.

You have no trichomes and 100 outside plants love the cooler temp in the night time is what you want it tells the plant hey it’s starting to become winter thats where you get the trichomes as of finding seeds thats prob 100 percent hermy especially if it came from bag seed growing super dank is not easy leaving that plant in the ground would definitely make it better
The farmer came by,
Picked up my last Oz of his Damnesia on a promise for this years harvest.
All my plants are Durban Poison, just 3 different phenotypes.
The pair took very early. Said one is probably a purple Durban. I have seen some purple leaf stems. Looking at late Sept.
Quoted from Luckydogg420:The first 2 look stretched on my iPad. I used my phone to upload them. Hopefully these look better

Going just fine, looking good
Prepping the drying room.
Screen and catch plastic
Dehumidifier
Bungees to hang
Paper bags
Fan
Blacklight
Aiming for a tight wet trim
I typically try to make it look like the stuff in the store. Remove stems to conserve space.
Cleaning jars is still a ways off.
Still have plenty of humidity packs.

You're way more prepared than I am. This is my first year growing and I'm trying to learn along the way. My plan was to trim the leaves and hang the plants in my garage with a fan and dehumidifier running. Then I was going to harvest the dry buds, and put them in Mason jars to cure. I dont have a triming table set up like that, but I might set something up like that too.
Whats the blacklight for? Spotting mold?

Quoted from BMHouze:I am using the garden fencing to hold up my lower branches.
Now I can get in to water easier.
Big girls are budding now.[quoted image][quoted image]
Wow, those are huge from when I saw them back in June.
I want to grow one or two. What do I need to do and know. Yours have turned out very nice. I should have grabbed some seeds off you.
Share your wisdom.
Blacklight kills mould on contact.
Always dose your drying buds a few times a day.
Unfortunately, the light also opens up the mould when it hits it.
More passes make sure it is all gone.
No prolonged exposure
I sometimes put the light in a shallow box behind the fan to kill any mould spores in the air it is moving around.
No mould in my dry for years now, I have even had to take off in the rain.
Does anyone know if there’s a correlation between planter diameter and size of plant? My plants are very tall but not very bushy, and I wonder if that could be caused by the planters they are in. I cut holes in the bottom so that the roots can go as deep as they want, but I’m thinking for next year I might get wider pots to put the plants in. Don’t get me wrong, my plants look like the yield will be phenomenal.

I think it has to do with the strain and a few other factors. You can help prevent them from getting too tall by topping them before flower stage. Here is an article I found that may help you.

Could someone point me towards the best web site for info on growing autoflowers.
I have seen the seed company's sites and done some searches but I am looking for one good site that has it all.
thanks,

Unless things have changed I wouldn't recommend autoflower. Yield is garbage and bud quality is sub par at best. Just buy feminized seeds
Seeing plenty of bad spots in my colas.
That's why I break them all down,
Zap with the blacklight a few times.
Looking forward to growing some Indica next year.Where I'm at in Washington state is pretty mild in the spring/summer/fall.Any strains you locals could recommend for the region.I have plenty of property with sun or shade.Unlimited water.Or should I grow indoors.

Lots of infos on both of those sites and AFN forum is VERY friendly to Newbies.
I will respectfully disagree with dirk and have found autoflowers very easy to grow with plenty good results and amazing weed quality and by quality i mean everything from the buzz itself to ,more importantly for me, taste, aromas, terpenes and yield.
Grows are short from 65 to 100 days and i chose coco coir with GH trio to begin.First grow was, first plant 35 grs (broke the main stem) and since it was a fast growing plant ,72 days, yield was small.Second and third plant from the same crop were different strains and took 90 and 98 days to finish and gave me 92 and an interresting quarter pounder for the last one.
But on my second crop, last plant gave me dry 340 grs, more then 12 ounces...in 108 days!!! Genetics are everything so buying your seeds(auto feminized) from a reputable place is important IMO.RQS link posted above is great place so is Mephisto genetics and others...
Got everything i needed from Jeff (the guys needs the money) and dirt cheap.LEDs are the way to grow now with more then excellent results.Growing your own weed is ridiculously easy, fun and addictive.I made some super tasting hash with larf and trim easily with bubble bags. Also built my own rosin press with dual temp control...
Only problem is now,i got too much weed!!!
Go for it!!!
I was considering autos and 4 main plants.
Only 4 would be flowering at one time...
They do tipically have a snaller yield.
Don't bet the years growth.

I do 2 plants in each of my 2 2x4 tents.Last grow was 4 plants for about 550 grams.All Mephisto Genetics,Super Orange Haze,24 carats,Double grape x White Crack and 3BearsOG.
All in less then 95 days...about 1 1\4 lbs.

FTW!
Mephisto Genetics!
Thank you, you really pointed me in the right direction. Tons of info out there other than seed companys.

Quoted from cdnpinbacon:[quoted image] 13 feet tall
My buddy lost one in the wind the other day, snapped off not far from the ground. Mine are about 8’ tall.
That looks pretty impressive
I have to buy mine. I still get all envious seeing these plants. It just isn't in the cards for me, growing my own.
I feel fortunate anyways...
Quoted from BMHouze:Out of the paper bags.
Now for the cure.
Looks like around 25+ Oz.
I'll take a large jar to go please, no need to bag it I plan on smoking it here.
