Does anyone know where I can sign up for the pin golf tournament in Edmonton?

Quoted from dirkdiggler:Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll pass them on.
That Pampas sounds awesome. So is it unlimited meat from 10 choices for $50?
There was a Korean bbq on 51st Ave back in the 90s that was buffet style and really good.
Yes unlimited
Quoted from puck:I am told that Denizen now has one on location now as well.
Looks like I know what I'm doing tomorrow night. Hopefully it's good to go.
Quoted from urbanledge:Hi friendly Canadians !
My little brother (27) has packed his bags and is making the move to Edmonton (I would have picked somewhere with better weather then Ireland!).
Anyways he's going to be all alone for the first 4/5 weeks.
If any one here fancies fancies showing him around for an hour or even dropping him an email with some info that would be great!
Hes a good guy and plays a bit of pinball too
He just left Dublin for New York and will be flying to Edmonton on the 20th .
Dave
Edit
Hes also a graphic designer looking for work
Tell him to come sub in the die hard pinball league. There's lots of great people to get to know there.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:Any food recommendations at Lucky's Lounge? Stopping by tomorrow for lunch and some pins
Subway
Quoted from dirkdiggler:I'll bring it back. Stopped by Lucky's Lounge in Edmonton. Excellent lineup of well maintained games. Only bop was down. Wish I had more time to play the games. Really enjoyed gb premium. You pinheads who live in and by major cities with excellent pins on location are very lucky.
Maybe I should buy the collection in spruce grove and open a location in Lloyd?
Where's this collection ad?
Awesome thanks! Pub 340 is only a 15 min walk so I'll hit it up and practice my adams for the tourney.
Quoted from Meegis:Its a damn shame that Stern monopolized their Canadian sales up to this point with one sole distributor for all of Canada. If that were to change, I can only imagine the drastic influx it would be on Nitro's sales.
Is there no one that we can all complain to so Tommy can buy direct. He comes out to the shows and sells the games so why should stern get a cut?
Quoted from Meegis:I think you mean Starburst, but I agree completely.
Yea I meant starburst
Is anyone in Ottawa willing to help me out and pick up and game and deliver it to a trucking depot so I can get it on a pallet and sent to Edmonton?
Quoted from aeonblack:Any of you guys wanna head down there next week and check it out sometime? Would be a lot more fun figuring it out with other people
I'm in
Quoted from pins4life33:There was a free play day last night at Lucky’s doubt there will be another one this year.
Last League night is November 21, 2017 we are always looking for subs.
Last Tournament of the year DHPL Last Chance Pinball Tournament, on December 9, 2017, registration is on our website http://www.diehardpinball.ca
Damn I missed out on this
.
Quoted from misfitdart:This is the same for the whiner Jay Richardson Pinball, stick to screwing people over on your "white glove service" Jay and leave new pin sales to the guys that run it right.
Yea I got the white glove service. Legs on and out the door before I could finish my first game. Had some issues and had to call him back, wouldn't recommend the "white glove" experience. He wouldn't even work with me to get the game upstairs where I wanted it
He told me that if I didn't get his set up he wasn't covering any warranty issues. When some other problems came up he worked with jjp to come up with a solution but then basically got me to just communicate with them directly and disappeared. No follow up calls or anything to see how things went.
Lucky's has the best games, for the most part they all play well. Fish Tales could use a level though. With denizen closing that only leaves beercade and the pins there have been slowly disappearing for the last year.
Quoted from Spinape:Anyone in Edmonton signing up for the fall league at Lucky’s? I’ve never done it before.
I did it will be my third time playing in the league. It's a very chill league and good for people just getting into to competition pinball as you will move up or down in the brackets depending on play so there's a better chance of playing players in your skill range.
Quoted from jesperpark:What night does it run? I see the web page talks about the spring league lol
Would be a good excuse to join to play some more pinball. I work 10 blocks from Lucky's and barely make it over there
Wednesday nights from 7-830 (usually)
Quoted from shaub:It sure sounds like you've got a covid cure up your sleeve and YegPIN2021 is 100% guaranteed!
I wish that were true but hopefully 2022 will be the year for YEGPIN V. Maybe the US will have things under control so they can come out too.
Quoted from Dee-Bow:hey Calgary..is the bowling alley/casino still have pins inside?! headed up for the weekend and was wondering if it's still open
Likely closed due to covid. Hopefully at the end of the month they can reopen.
Quoted from ChanceKJ:Working on a plug and play fix for the annoying sound board hum produced on all Data East pins. (Not the DMD or Flasher hum, but the other persistent one). Prototypes are built and starting to get into the hands of locals in the Calgary Area. Idea behind this is simple, it should take longer to open up the game than to install. And it should be an easy improvement that keeps the game as original as possible without hacking wires or adding extra dedicated power supplies. Thought id share.
