Quoted from shaub:It looks like you've got a good group of pinball players over there in Edmonton. Do you do a monthly tournament?
We have a league that we do monthly and we usually have a tournament outside of the league roughly every 4 months .
Quoted from pingod:They aren't that good,we beat them for the championship
Looks like you guys had a good time, wish I was there for that one.
Smack talking early for next years rematch
Bring it on Dan ...The cup Will Return to Edmonton
I too had a good time ...great to some old and some new people ...looking forward to next league night
I also have to give Rick a shout out for getting ball stuck in the weirdest places on my Jurassic Park.....who woulda thunk!
And thank you to pingod for helping me out with machine and ball issues
Quoted from puck:Did we get a pic? Rick and I managed to mess up 4 of the 7 games we played. Sorry about that Stretch!
No no pics but they were goodies
Quoted from str8cash:A nice shuffleboard works good too.
I have a 14' Shuffle board and it gets used alot...always good to shoot some pucks after some balls
Last time I was at kosmos they had a AC/DC pro and Boston pizza had a stern batman
The laundry mat by royal pizza has a beat up earthshaker and pinbot
Ya it was a little dirty when I played it last but flipper rubbers were ok
I was just happy I was able to do 2 of my favourite things
Drink beer and play pinball
Quoted from klr650:Can anyone confirm the BM66 at Carnival Cinemas in Red Deer Alberta? I saw the Kijiji ad but I would love to hear from a Red Deer Pinsider before I start planning a road trip!
Thanks!
Looks like bob is the poster so I would say it's legit
Quoted from Dee-Bow:I have a pinball sickness! Hahaha
Who woulda thought being sick could be fun
Wow almost hard for me to remember when I did t have a cell phone and going on 8 years now without landline or fax
If worried about a bill just ditch the landline and get a cell.
Do they still charge for long distance on land lines within Canada?
Boston pizza in Leduc has a Batman dark night. Laundry mat by western budget has a beat up pinbot and earthshaker
Quoted from Dee-Bow:Damn! I want that album! .. i heard PBF playing the Fri nite VIP party this year at YEGPIN
Haha that would be awesome. This album wasn’t a easy one to find but found a new still sealed one out of Quebec ...cost a few dollars but one of those things I had to have.
Yes we live stream tourneys and league nights on twitch. Super easy with new wireless camera rig to move around to different machines. The guys did a great job with the layout on twitch and commentating is good too. I dont have a link handy but if you search DHPL you should see something pop up.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:My friend in Edmonton just paid 3400
I believe that was mine. Was it his first machine?
Quoted from pins4life33:We get ours today
Got the call ....heading out to pick it up
Quoted from Fytr:Possible issue with the source AC power feed?
I wasn't able to be there for the set up yesterday but I'm hoping to get there today and will have a look and let you know what i find.
Update
Simple fix ... the right flipper bat didn’t have any spacing from the bushing so it was binding. Adjusted the bat and bushing space and good to go.
Quoted from jesperpark:So if you would of been there yesterday, you could of alleviated all that stress
Yes....but i have to say if anyone quality tested this machine it would have been obvious and shouldn't have left the factory floor until fixed. I was not able to make a loop or ramp shot with that right flipper and barely the center scoop.
Quoted from extraballingtmc:Get a chance to adjust slings
No nothing i can do unless change flipper coils. They are good but not great.... Just a typical JJP sling strength, not sure why but it may be as there overall sling length(post to post) is too short maybe. To look at the mechs and stock coils you would think it should be good.
I have to say ...whoever is getting one will love it, Beautiful game
"You could be mine" multiball was intense.
Yes a few too many multiballs and definitely need to change some settings as far as add a balls and ball saves and make mutliballs more difficult to get.
Ohh one other thing i noticed was post rubber missing between inlanes on left, not sure if this is done on purpose.
Quoted from extraballingtmc:So how is the gnr le playfield holding up at arkadium?
I didn’t really look at playfield yet but will next time and let you know. But I think it was good as nothing jumped out at me. Here are some pictures of the rubbers I changed today from not even a week of play and you will see where one broke off which may be a future problem as it was digging in the lane guide beside so I tried to adjust the travel so it does t dig in but unfortunately you can adjust too much as there is a hole under flipper and tried adjusting the lane guide but really can’t as they have through hole lane posts. They must from same supplier as spooky as the ones on Alice were bad to but last a bit longer. Also included of some rubbers that were missing even before Derek got to it lol. I also adjusted the magnet as it was a little high
Anyone in Regina can help a fellow out with some legs. I sold a black hole last month to a guy in Regina and long story short the tried to steal it out of his basement. Good news they were unsuccessful but got away with keys and legs. He's not on pinside so i figure i reach out here and see if anyone has some legs locally he could purchase and get him back to playing his game.
Quoted from extraballingtmc:Pinballs are not easy to steal.
Quoted from Saltimbanco:Must have been surprised by the weight..
Ya by the looks of it from pic i seen they got it to the back door with the head on and left it there.
Quoted from Pinhead306:I have a 4 extra legs laying around but I think one might be different length then the other 3
Ok ill let him know...Thanks
Quoted from Pinhead306:have a 4 extra legs laying around

Quoted from Berserk:Could always give Devron a shout
Yes for sure but figured i start closer first
Thanks for all the help guys but i think we got something going now.
Quoted from shaub:But for one weekend, that dingy hotel was paradise!
The price was right lol.
It had a cool vibe in that basement I thought, but it sure got hot with all those machines and low a ceiling with no good ventilation and a/c.
Quoted from DaveBen:250 plays on the GNR and the rubbers are wearing out already.
Might as well get some sling rubbers too as those will be going soon. Unfortunately GNR came with some cheap rubbers.
Quoted from aeonblack:(seeing how the city only picks up every 2 weeks now and they won't take excess
Everyone start setting up burning barrels on your driveways and start burning your trash. See what city does then.
Quoted from Anony:Do you have to strip them
The rails on newer sterns have to be stripped first as the metal is to thin to blast old powder off.
Give Nitro a try…. But I heard through the grapevine that they will go to locations first then to public… not sure if that’s correct info though
Quoted from Dee-Bow:What do y'all recommend/use for the best 1 1/4" glass fuse puller.!
Go with the red ones
Quoted from dirkdiggler:BNA Brewing
That place has grown into a neat entertainment place.. it used to have a cool shuffleboard type game where you stabs in the floor and play…. Did t try it but looked fun. good to see pins added a few years back. I suggest anyone in the area stop by for a beer or bowling or pinball or all. If memory serves me right that place used to be an old Tabacco company.
I know a guy that has a couple for sale... I think he was asking 9000 for the pair. I have no idea if that is a good price or not, but they were more modern touch screen ones.
2 things I remember about the PNE back in 79 or 80 was Hercules and room temperature milk drink boxes up and coming and giving out free samples.
Hi BMGfan, I am Gilles.
Unfortunately I won’t be taking on any more work till further notice. I have too many restores sitting in shop and others waiting to come in. I would like to help you out but can’t right now.
But like Tinn was saying it’s not really as simple as shooting it and be done. It usually takes prep work then multi coats with sanding in between and of course a final sand and power polish. If you have any questions shoot me a pm and I can help that way.
