    Quoted from TBatti:

Does anyone know Chris1960 I asked about a pin months ago and his reply 3 months later is along the lines of "I am sorry for the delay
My father is I'll and in the hospital
    so I am taking over
    I HAVE ............................................"
not exactly the most comforting lead to a sale thread from experience.

    Hi friendly Canadians !
My little brother (27) has packed his bags and is making the move to Edmonton (I would have picked somewhere with better weather then Ireland!).
Anyways he's going to be all alone for the first 4/5 weeks.
If any one here fancies fancies showing him around for an hour or even dropping him an email with some info that would be great!
Hes a good guy and plays a bit of pinball too
He just left Dublin for New York and will be flying to Edmonton on the 20th .
    Dave
    Edit
Hes also a graphic designer looking for work

I did this for a guy from Australia when he came to visit for a week . Brought him out to League Night . Made his trip !

    Quoted from Meegis:

    You're not.
I have a cell, but I can name a handful of others local here in Toronto that do not.

    I don't ! What do I win ?

    Quoted from FlipperFreak:

We'd love to Meegis! However, our deal is for Western Canada. We had to agree not to sell Stern into Ontario to make it happen. The good news is, we've offered our assistance to P1 in the East to help better understand the community at large. Hopefully this will translate into better support on across the country.

    for now !

Does this work the other way around where west can't buy from the east ? just politely asking and not looking for an east west fight

    Quoted from chinosts:

So I have a question... You guys live in Canada. Why don't you order direct from the manufacturer when buying new pinballs? Why go through a distributer? If you organize amongst yourselves you could share shipping costs etc.
What is stopping you from organizing a road trip to Stern and coming back with a truck full of pinballs? What am I missing here?
BTW Ill be in Canada in a couple of weeks and would love to catch up with some Canadian pinheads, drink some beer and play pinball. Are there any events coming up? I'll be there until end of January...
    Cheers!

what city are you coming to ?

    #2106 6 years ago

Calgary too bad ! you'll miss the Grey Cup parade !

    #2126 6 years ago

Jerry at P1 is well aware of all the problems , and has said in person that he is trying to make things better and change the culture at P1 , and maybe we should give him and the company some time to make it right , just my opinion

    Quoted from RYE_:

Does anyone know if there's like a network or collective of home pinball machine owners in Toronto?
I got a NIB Hot Wheels last year (my first pin) and would be curious if people ever trade machines for a few months just to rotate in something fresh once in a while

with the value of new machines , most likely no

get the sender to transfer by wire to a US account that you set up just for this transaction , a small amount like $5 to make sire it works , then when confirmed , your set to go , it way take a few days to show up in your account

    Quoted from mIkea:

In Ontario at least they collect taxes every single time it’s re-sold. Even the used POS I bought from my Father in law’s estate, which apparently according to the government is worth more than I paid, despite the $5k in repairs it needs. So you pay tax on what they ‘think’ it’s worth. Brutal.

but you can in Ontario have an appraiser revalue it , showing the repairs needed and all the bad , for less value and the government must accept it . the appraisers usually charge between $50- $100 , well worth the savings in taxes

Does anyone know how to bullet proof loonie Mechs so they don't reject so much? I know someone having an issue. I'm told to remove the magnets, but I don't think there are magnets in them to begin with, so there must be other issues.

    mechanical or electronic mech's ?
