    Waffles are pretty filling.
I tend to only eat one.

I am not buying an EM waffle, D list waffle.

    #3282 2 years ago

I have a buddy at work that has won a few of the weed waffles.
I also have another co worker willing to buy in for a chance at a cheap pin.

Now up to 2 spots for me.

I better ask now, does the waffle cost cover shipping to my door/ local dock?

Raffle would only have me for Silverball mania or better.
The 2 'lesser' pins wouldn't get me off the couch.
Really need a multiball machine to peak interest in this cat.

    #3292 2 years ago

My 'old school' kryptonite is Alien Poker.
Silverball mania just has that cool art and all those pops.
I try to stay north of sys 11 now.

    #3301 2 years ago

    I have bought a few,
    No luck
Maybe if I bought like 5+ tickets like the crazies...

    #3314 2 years ago

Yeah, but I want the Born Again Black Sabbath (Ian Gillan) pin, with Dio and Ozzy, just too much getting left out.

    #3328 2 years ago

Just taking this appliance cart for a walk...

I had some time to finally get in and try to get both my pins to 100%
When I called an area repair place they were not really concerned about my pins issue until it was in house. (too bad, a little effort here could have had me book that day)
I paid someone to fix my pin and have to research how in the past, but never to a 'repair shop'.
They seemed more interested in fixing older SS than my newer Stern.
Luckily, what I was hoping would work, did.
I guess I will do my mods on my own.

Most people print and stick on plexi.
Originals are getting hard to come by.
    What game?
I have a few wall hangers, but they are real.
I don't mind selling the odd one to help someone out.

    #3474 2 years ago

What's the best way to hang a backglass on the wall?
Lock it in a bunch of command hooks?
I was considering the framing shop, they should be able to give me a bit of space at the back for the peeling spots.

I use locking forceps. Once I am done with the roach.
Pop the fuse from under one end 1st.

Prices are still the asking price.
They may have taken a little less, dogecoin...
At least there are some nice titles available inside the border.

    #3573 2 years ago

My covid money plus the sale of my 3 B titles got me into 2 great titles.
Now I am just riding the wave.

    #3582 2 years ago

    Another Checkpoint owner...

    #3598 2 years ago

It's not that I don't trust me to baby your game. I just don't trust anyone with my stuff.

    Just a Fuze,
Worked 100% before storing (10+ years ago).

VFW is my go to show for straight up play.
Close to the border is a plus

If you plan on going NiB go all out for a premium.
Only go Pro if you want to do all the modding yourself.
    Just my 2 cents.

I will have to keep that in mind the next time I go to Mc Michael.

You would probably have more luck across the river in Michigan.
    More pinball everything.....
I bet Clay at VFW has someone or knows someone close to Ann Arbor.

    #4053 1 year ago

I am getting ready for the swap meet next Saturday at Maple.
    Made my own name tag.

    #4054 1 year ago

My collection is small enough to fit a name tag.

If I had to list what I have owned and flipped, quite a bit larger.

Still miss Alien Poker the most, then Elvis, Checkpoint.
For the top three best plays gone.

    Maple open house was today.
    Bad Cats.....
Sure they had Rush LE, Godzilla, Deadpool, Batman 66 Julie Newmar, a bunch of great 80s pins with new PFs.
    And Bad Cats....

Anyone have a good in at Nitro?
I just want to know if they sold any Stern Heavy Metals.
I know I got the only P1 preorder.
Would like to know if mine is the only preorder sold here.
I know there is a GRG after release here in Ontario.

    #4117 1 year ago

With HM there were pre orders.
    Then sales tanked.
All the rest were sold to Game Room Guys.
The EU tariff at the time killed sales.

    #4255 1 year ago

Unlike choking up the buy/sell thread,
    Are Cdn sales slowing down?
    Interest rates are up,
    Cost of living is up,
Rather spend $ traveling now, etc.

I am seeing a whole lot of pins on the market that don't seem to be moving.
I am not saying they are priced wrong, who knows what sort of offers they may have received.
I just don't see that many with 5K of disposable entertainment income. Let alone 10K+
Looks like gone in a week or two is select titles.

Any sellers want to chime in?

    #4263 1 year ago

NiB does determine most of the price of older pins.
But then you have the 20+ years of wear on any original components left.
Plus the joy of having to find some of the harder to find parts.
Thinking you are going to cash in on some of the non multiball titles I am seeing listed.
    Good Luck (finding a sucker).

Drunk as fuck in Pla6a Blanca Pamama today.
Miss pinball but the free drinks and spell checker are doing their job

It's 30 in the shade here on vacation in Panama.
I'll have another whiskey sour just for you poor cold people.

    #4395 1 year ago

The couple I am here in Panama with have friends that live here in the winter and trailer park for summer/citizenship at home.
    Everything but electricity is cheap.
Health care is cheap but anything major and you jump a flight home.
You incorporate and buy a property to pay less taxes (400/yr)
The airport by the resorts is air Transat and sunwing only so no 2+ hour drive from Panama city.
Homes in the gated community were 50-100k usd, you need cameras and a dehumidifier in the shower running in the off season. Lots of ex pats in their community.

    #4408 1 year ago

I saw a slot at the Maple open house earlier this year. They may be able to help you out.
I think it was a nickel machine and I believe it was priced at 250

I finally applied to the place that hires everyone.
At least I have a job.
If my references check out they give me +$2/hr to start.
My workplace closed in Nov. Got a nice severance, but tax time could take a bite to leave me just short of the rest of the mortgage.
Either way, new job pays way more than I really need, I should be able to start adding to the game room again soon.

    #4462 1 year ago

Here in Ontario, my parents would take the brothers and I to Cedar Point.
    They had a huge arcade.
    Played Hercules there.
A sit in, moving Mach 3? Ate 2 of my brothers $

I played one of the OG Aliens at VFW (Ann Arbor).
    Wow, what a great game.
If I was better skilled to repair a boutique brand I would be all over it.
Must have 3 cell phone screens inside.
Very dark and gloomy, like the theme.

I found out from a co worker about a local collector.
    But, he's a dentist.

I am really liking the update to the machines listing page.
Now when I look up my Heavy Metal, I still see that 11 out of 100 are on location.
But now I see the price graph to see historically how my games value had changed, number of listings in the last year.
    Nice update.
You can see the price increase jump on in production Sterns.

I read that Modelo is the new top beer in the US by sales.
I bought a 6 pack at the liquor store.
    Meh,
I still prefer XX, Corona over it. Seems pretty flavorless.
Next time, the Steam Whistle mini keg.

    Shout out to New Brunswick
My brother is in the process of moving out there.
    (Porter Cove)
Need to know who to hit up for play/locations if I am visiting.

DE Simpsons has just arrived from
    The man cave.
    Deep clean is #1
Then I can start in on the wonky weak flipper, pops, etc.
I remember going to the Starburst live auction and him getting this.
He sold it to me for cost.
PF looks pretty good, sone loss by the drain.

Shooter lane is much better than the Checkpoint I had years ago.
Using some plant based cleaner on the cab. Worked great on the back of it 1st.
The cannabis resin is coming right off. Luckily it was in the far corner of the room.

Try the local car repair shops.
They should be able to to it with leftovers as it's small.

    #4645 7 months ago

    I paint wargame models (Battletech).
I would just do clear spar varnish in a can from C-tire. Tape it off good for a small area.
Or model paint varnish in a few coats for smaller spots.

I am debating this year's mod as an upgrade to standard posts in HM
It currently uses the homepin post/rubber.
With some sort if nut that is hammered in on the B side.
Has anyone removed these? Just wonder if it's straight out or a twist.
Figure trying from the bottom will be better than trying a punch to hammer them out from the top..
