    Quoted from Boat:

I put one of my games up for trade and someone offered their “loaded” guardians for 13k. I had to ask, pro or premium although deep down I knew, just needed them to say it.
“Pro”. Hopefully they aren’t someone on here. I’m sorry but I know the markets are bonkers but we aren’t at 13k spike 2 pro prices yet… /rant

Yeah.. pretty insulting. Still not as bad as some of the other ones going around.. "Changed my mind, NIB".. and the price is jacked 5k..

    #3802 4 months ago

I really hope prices will be back to some kind of normality at some point. I really am looking forward to add a few new pins to the collection. But i'm a patient man. Right now it's pure chaos.

Every time the exchange rate sucks it gets like this. I remember going through the same thing almost 20 years ago. People prefer selling to US buyers because they can get more. Of course it's usually the same folks that whine and complain there are no games to buy in Canada at a reasonable price

    #3804 4 months ago

Not in my case. I just buy them to play them until they break. I'm always amazed to see games people had for years with only a few hundred plays. I play thousands of games on my pins and when I'm bored I switch for something else and repeat. It's a toy, not a portfolio to me.

Same. I've put 4000 plays on my JP that I've had for 2.5 years. I play my other games almost as much. It's a daily decompression for work therapy for me.

I just turn my games and on watch the lights twinkle.

    No plays allowed.

How can someone get bored of Metallica!

    Quoted from Dee-Bow:

How can someone get bored of Metallica!

I think many people don't know how to set up a pinball properly to be challenging.. So when every few games is an epic session of chopping wood, they think it's boring and complain. .. But it's really just that they need to tighten the tilt, adjust the level and maybe open the Outlanes a little.

    Getaway coming nicely

I know, I had the game for 7 years before I let it go. I really thought at one point ac/dc premium and metallica were bolted to the floor. But at one point, with a small lineup, when you skip nights, weeks and then months of playing it that means it's time to shake the lineup a bit. But I have to agree metallica is awesome.

This is a perfect explanation for many games that have come and gone through my collection

If you plan on going NiB go all out for a premium.
Only go Pro if you want to do all the modding yourself.
    Just my 2 cents.

Except for location, stick with pro.
I bought a lot of LE's, just not worth it for location.

    I'll guide you through it

What does it typically run you for an armour set to get PC'd?

    #3833 3 months ago
    Quoted from northerndude:

What does it typically run you for an armour set to get PC'd?

That's a loaded question, but the short answer is $250-$500+

The reason for a range and a vague plus sign, is it all depends on how many pieces you do, and what kind of job you want.

Are the pieces already stripped or do they need to sandblast. Do you want a single stage color that gets blasted on and it's done or are you doing layering. Do you want any type of finish other than smooth, for example textures.

It can get expensive depending on how custom you make it.

    #3834 3 months ago

A good price range is here,

As an example, here is four colours I had done, but there's two types of jobs here.

The gold and green are illusion colours, with a normal spray and clear coat.

The purple and blue are actually mutli stage sprays.

It's a layer of ink black powder followed by coloured flake in the clear coat. It's tough to photograph the depth of it, but you can see it's not just a standard one blast colour.

Pretty good pricing here, but be careful going down the rabbit hole of colour options.

    There's 1000's

    #3837 3 months ago

Thanks for this. Good ball park numbers.

We'll see what happens, We have a really good company in Nipawin that can do all this. I've asked once for a quote, and they never got back to me, jeez. I'll rry again.

I'd probably like to do my upcoming Godzilla prem and I have this inkling to do my Deadpool with a dark red with purple flek in it, or a shimmering purple color.

    #3838 3 months ago

Definitely depends on price and pieces.

    I used Mike:

    Mike Degli Angeli
    Brightside Restoration & Design
    186 Bartley Dr Unit 13, M4A 1E1, Canada
    416-570-8893
    www.brightsidecustoms.com

Price is around $300 for the basic stuff illusion colours (really nice)

Ended up being a bit more because I did my coin doors, speaker panel, and aprons. I also did the habitrails on my TSPP. Very pleased with his work, will be back next week with DP.

    Choosing a damn colour.

    Example:

    I'd like red

Ok, have a look through these 3800 samples

Best place(s) to look at colour options online ?
    And/or order samples?

    #3845 3 months ago

    https://www.prismaticpowders.com/shop/powder-coating-colors

Its a good idea to search within your game forum and see what others have done. Usually a wide range of options. That will help narrow the process down a bit.

Ordering colour samples is pretty cheap.

Just went with a handful of samples for a few pins

Ended up $20 USD. not bad. Well worth it.
