Yeah I’ve got one from Costco and it’s good, was just curious about the Titans but the shipping makes no sense and doubles the price.

We have a Costco one in the kitchen, I think it was $40 maybe. If it was more we wouldn’t have bought it, but holy crap are anti-fatigue mats expensive overall
Don’t know why, but....
Quoted from extraballingtmc:Any reasonable option for ordering titan mats in or to Canada? Cheapest shipping option titan offered me was $76!
I use the mats that frequently appear at Costco. Cheaper and still good quality. They have double length ones sometimes as well.
Fellers, get yourself a nice pair of slippers and some orthotics. Then you can stand on a spiffy hotel rug from The Shining and flip in style.
NL_Hotel_runner_flat_720x[1] (resized).jpg
But for real, orthotics in the slippers is a game changer at home. Also, it's no anti-fatigue mat but you can just buy an area rug and put underlay under it and that is cheap and helps offset the pain train.
Kangaroo anti-fatigue mat was a total game changer. I was looking at stools before I found a proper mat. And my fav pin STH is on a carpeted floor with a nice under pad.

I actually do use a nice pair of slippers, I also found slides with or without socks with good too.
Ordered and received from @lastlight, fast shipper! Most importantly, it's made in Canada by another Pinside brother from Calgary. Buy Canadian!
Go check out his site http://www.arcadearts.net/
First, the framed pop art is great fun for the game room. With the right lighting, it's going to look fantastic!
It was perfectly packaged, the quality of the pieces is great (corners are perfect!) and the back pieces make they're ready to hang or display on a desk.
Friendly seller, order from Brett without any reservation!

Where are you getting your pinball stranded colour coded/striped cable.
I can make my own I guess but I find the water base paint pens not too good and the paint comes off rather easily.
I know I can get some at planetary pinball and Marcos, BUT, shipping is VERY expensive and was hoping to source the same striped cable locally.
Any tips?
hey Calgary..is the bowling alley/casino still have pins inside?! headed up for the weekend and was wondering if it's still open

Likely closed due to covid. Hopefully at the end of the month they can reopen.
going to derail the thread for a sec:
Have a AIQ playfield protector that I decided not to keep, I did install it in my game but took it out shortly after.
It is from Germany, and I have taken the film that is protecting but I have not used it.
Will sell for $150 (cost me $250) contact me if interested.
LOCAL BUYER ONLY, as this will be very hard to ship now that it does not have the protective film.

Sorry they are closed still.
Games are in there sitting idle
Give me a shout and come try out G&R CE

Anybody in Edmonton looking for a scissor lift? At $100, seems almost too good.. really useful to move pins around..

I have been using Shippsy recently for orders from the US. Basically you mail the order to Niagara Falls, NY and then they ship it to Markham or Mississauga in Ontario for pickup. They will also forward your shipment within Canada. They charge $6.99CDN to bring it across to Ontario. As an example, this order was $55US to mail to Ontario. Instead I paid $15US to Shippsy depot and $6.99CDN to Ontario. So saved about $35US. The best thing about Shippsy is with larger orders, you can avoid any duty charges by giving them a copy of your receipt and showing the product was made in the USA. If interested, PM me and I can forward you a code for your first order and it will save both of us $10CDN on your first order. Not sure what they will charge to mail your item within Canada, probably still a lot cheaper than direct.

great to know thank you!
It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that YEGPIN: 2021 Pinball and Arcade Expo is officially cancelled. In the past, the three day show attracts over 1500 pinball and arcade enthusiasts and is home to the Stern Circuit Event - YEGPIN: Canadian Pinball Championships. We just do not have enough time nor know if the restrictions will even allow us to pull off a quality show to our standards. However, the good news is that we are already in the thick of planning for YEGPIN: 2022 Pinball and Arcade Expo and will have an announcement shortly on the new summer dates, new tournament format, and expansion of this already incredible show. Stay tuned for a major announcement in the coming weeks.

I've basically written this off for a while now, but it is still very unfortunate that it's official. YEGPin is such a great mix of pretty much everything I love about pinball and how absolutely disappointed I am to miss it 2 years in a row is truly a testament to the passion and hard work of everyone involved in making it what it is.
Yeg = Edmonton
Although last time it was technically Sherwood Park, just outside of Edmonton
Edit: As for an actual location i remember 3 different locations, was there a 4th? Its been moving around as it has been getting bigger every year
first few years i went were at an old airplane museum! the new venue is a huge sports complex connected right to the hotel! it's so damn fun dude! come out next year for sure! large tournament area with some fierce competition..or hang out on the other side with hundreds of pins and arcades all set to free play! Nitro brings all the sweet new pins that are available, and it's all stumbling I mean walking distance to your hotel room!
The first year was in a dingy hotel on the Yellowhead, the next ones were held at the Airport Museum, the last year it was held at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park. The show has come a long way and we have had great feedback from those that attend. An announcement will come out soon and I am sure there will be tons of excitement as we are really pulling out all the stops for the next one.

Okay I couldn't remember if it was 2 years at the airplane museum, I think I missed one of the years.

But for one weekend, that dingy hotel was paradise!
Quoted from shaub:But for one weekend, that dingy hotel was paradise!
The price was right lol.
It had a cool vibe in that basement I thought, but it sure got hot with all those machines and low a ceiling with no good ventilation and a/c.

...the dank sewer smell in the back room went nicely with the quality of my play in the tournament that weekend.
Good times though - got to play the snot out of the TBL that Tommy brought out, that was a treat, haven't seen another since.

This seems kind of like the 'ole Scorpion pin I picked up last week is. This pin is like a 1976 Canadian curling rink lounge, smells like dank, cigarettes and sadness
Curious if there a source of info for Stern pin production timelines / what pins are being re run?
Considering an NIB and would like to know what choices are available.
an example is: limited run of DP pro’s recently in Canada - can we expect DP premiums?
(Some US vendors appear to have premiums in stock.)
Another US vendor website suggests other titles will be re run this year. I.e. EHOH

Quoted from DaveBen:Wondering if anyone could point me towards somewhere in Canada I can purchase flipper rubbers for my GNR SE. Looks like the U.S. suppliers want to rape me with shipping costs. Thanks
Where are you located? Maybe nitro? Or pinball medics ?
Quoted from DaveBen:250 plays on the GNR and the rubbers are wearing out already.
Might as well get some sling rubbers too as those will be going soon. Unfortunately GNR came with some cheap rubbers.

If you live the GTA, I recommend Shippsy. You pay US to US postage for the US shipper and $7CDN to bring the item to Markham or Mississauga. Or you could buy them here, located in Pickering but ships across Canada:
https://pinballleds.ca/index.php?route=product/product&path=72&product_id=56
Quoted from transprtr4u:Drapl ... look it up on Google... Eddie ships quick and fair
Thanks! Looks like a reasonable site.
Will give them a try.
Longshot... I need to bring some home theater speakers and components across the border. I have free shipping in the US but full taxes and duty if I bring it across. I have a business to save PST but not sure how to facilitate. $60kUSD worth of product.
Totally unrelated but pm me if you have some experience with my situation.

That's a lot of speakers! Can't you avoid duty if the equipment is made in North America?
Quoted from pinballjah:That's a lot of speakers! Can't you avoid duty if the equipment is made in North America?
pffft, in the audiophile world that's damn near entry level! lol
Unfortunately I think you're stuck paying the duties, but if you do it as a shipment through your business, you could just reimburse the company from your personal money and that makes it clear on the books. AFAIK you really can only save on PST, so I would do a direct shipment given the value.
Maybe someone else has some other advice, but short of getting free shipping to one of those places on the border that holds it for you, then driving and picking it up yourself, I don't know if there is another option. If you do that, you definitely run the risk of a border guard not wanting to allow you to declare it as a business thing, whereas if it's shipping to a business they can't really argue if you say "my business wanted to new speakers, so we bought nice ones".
Where are the Ottawa pinheads?
Just curious to know where do you guys get your pinballs? Need to buy some and would like to buy a bunch.
All my games have magnets.
Maybe we can do a group buy?
Pinballs are nothing more than 1 1/6 ball bearings soooo why are we paying the middle man?
Let mw know if some of you in Ottawa want to get together and organize a group buy: find a source, negotiate a price and purchase in bulk.
I would be interested in purchasing 300+ balls for myself.
