Are there any decent Canadian parts stores? Im looking for bally coils, and rubbers. usually order from marco but i dont want to wait for it to be shipped (2 weeks usa shipping vs 4 days canadian)

    flippers.com or maybe playdium/starburst??

I order my stuff from pinballlife first, then usually marco 2nd if pblife doesn't have it...

and pinball life takes about 6-10 days to get here from the lowest rate.

The Pinball Resource is my first stop usually. Marco is the fastest shipping, and their selection is excellent, but you'll pay for it. Pinball Life is great as well.

I'm afraid we've already run the gamut of Canadian pinball parts suppliers... that didn't take long
Playdium store is okay for some common stuff, but forget game-specific. I dont even bother looking in Canada any more. The others listed are your best bet.

If your in the Toronto area, A1 Electrical on North Queen carries a ton of electrical parts, tools and other assorted items that come in really handy. That's all I got.

All the regulars from the states are good - except for Marco, never order from them.

ive orded from marco B4 and havent had any problems.

My marco order got stuck in customs for 2 weeks and I had to drive down there to release it. Whats the point in paying $30 shipping for them to get it "close" to my house.

I've always had good service from Marco. I try to hit up pinball life first though.

I believe you are all members of maaca, and there are countless threads there with regards to Marco, so I won't go into all the stories. I myself have orders done ok, and then massive issues, so much so that I will never order through them again unless they are the only place on the planet carrying someting I need.

F marco. I would highly recommend anyone to go anywhere than there.

    My 2 cents.

Pinball Medics, based in Ottawa, have expanded our local parts sales department to include online national sales across Canada.

Our e-commerce website is now completely up and running at:

Don't think the problem is Marco ... It's Iglobal ... Love getting the tracking number 3 days after my package arrived . No point in complaining, they don't care!

We've had no problems with any of the U.S. suppliers and shipping. All are lightning fast to up-state N.Y. where we import.

The typical delays and surprise expenses are a result of the various carriers obligations importing goods on behalf of the purchasers of said goods.

They must meet brokerage requirements including fees, associated costs including time, as well as profit one would assume.

This compounded by the taxes and duties levied by the Canadian Federal and Provincial governments, as well as the "fees" and "surcharges" that we are told are not in fact taxes, they just feel and spend like them...

Not surprisingly, the collection of said taxes and pseudo-taxes compounds the disruption of the space-time continuum, delaying the recipients ultimate experience even further.

That's the reason Pinball Medics moved towards a direct import model, eliminating not only the shippers involvement in the brokerage process, but the need for a brokerage firm altogether, saving Canadian buyers time as well as money.

As far as the exchange, I'm not in a position to offer any relief there... 70cents on the dollar really hurts. If it gets any worse I'm packing a 5 ton full of pins and heading South for the Winter, and come back and buy this town!
