So I am putting a Canada Dry together and I ran into a snag or two. I am only able to start the game manually (holding down S switch stack) and when I do it just comes up as Game over. If I hold up the Q switch stack then I am able to use the flippers. What should I looking at? What's the next step?

Check all the tilt (normally open) and anti-cheat (normally closed) switches (don't forget the ones under the playfield and in the backbox).
Check to make sure the Hold relay (R) is able to energize and stay energized after Start is done. It has a make/break switch on it that needs to change state to open the path to the Game Over relay (Q). So if R doesn't stay energized and change its make/break switch, then the game will just go into Game Over.
