Quoted from BeaverBrewing:My main concern is this wouldbe on 7+ hours a day, 3 days a week in my brewery for patrons to play and that's why I was leaning towards putting an LCD in (if I were to purchase).
I really don't have the time to fart around with learning how to fix a monitor and never have had too much luck with sending stuff out for repairs. I think I will just have to wait til I find one that has been completely gone over and already had all of the repairs you mentioned done.
I've played it a few times and really like it, I also have a small space that this would fit perfectly in.
In a perfect world I'd like a Super Mario Mushroom World in there but I never see those up for sale. I always see the baby pac's....
Thanks for all the info and opinions guys, very helpful!
Your original monitor has lasted 30+ years. You think any of these LCD's will last that long? Ha.
You can find people locally to recap monitors. It's not a huge repair and will give your monitor new life. LCD's look like crap in any vintage application. It's the lazy mans way out.
