I know the yellow one is a capacitor.. i need to replace and buy two of these.. I think the 1 MFD is a old term for microfarads.. Also is the red component a resistor? I cant really make out most of the writing on it except where it says + or - 10%. Any help on what exactly to purchase would be appreciated.. Thanks

They are both capacitors. I can’t really read the red one, but they should be the same. .1 MFD

They both appear to be .1 mfd (10% on the red one) capacitors. They are often used on switches to help with really fast switch closures....the capacitor helps slow the registering of the closure so the CPU board is more likely to read it. That's my understanding, though I'm sure someone here can explain it much more technically.

thank you so that really does help. so If I need to replace these what would be the closest match for these components?

What game is this on? Are the capacitors on the flipper button switches?

its not a pinball game. These are on a 1956 Williams Peppy the Clown. The caps are on the switches under the control panel. Here is the schematic. It does in fact says .1MFD caps.. Not sure why different types are used though..
