I looked this up yesterday and looks like State Farm only offers this in 5 states right now. They wanted me to put a monitoring device in my car for a 10% premium savings and I said no thanks. I would use this Ting device though.

Do I have to reread all the googlegate and insurance doesn't pay posts from 8 months ago? To ting or not to ting?
Thanks all for feedback. I'll get one. I remember when this thread first started State Farm wasn't doing this in Missouri.
pinzrfun, glad you caught your water leak.
I'm still waiting for mine to do the 7 day analysis, but noticed something not great about it. I have it plugged into my downstairs 1/2 bath outlet because it never gets used. It now has an odor like something heating up.
I've had mine for a bit now and it's nice that I get alert if my power goes out and not at home or happened at night and not realized it.
Quoted from Mank:I got a Ting off eBay. Plugged it in. Set it up. Got notifications for surges and power outages which was great. After about 1 year, I start getting notifications from All State that my Ting is not being used by an All State client and will be shut off. I ignored the notifications, and sure enough, it got shut down. I’ve never had All State, so clearly I got mine from an unauthorized vendor.
That's funny.
