It is not even remotely close from a business POV IMHO.

Wonka does very well, well built, has lastability, and ensured better resale value.

EV3 is honestly a more limited theme on route (lots of guys here on Pinside are vocal on it, but they are not the avg route player IME), has obvious issues on general QC and there is a difference in company stance currently for addressing these things, and I predict it goes the way of Beatles for resale (e.g. a pretty big hit on the back end for you).

Outside of the acute game assessment, what is at each location currently as mix can be important and a good indicator/ predictor for other new themes.

Quoted from PokerJake:

Agreed, Wonka was terrible in a home environment, couldn't imagine it being better in the wild. I sold my Wonka for an Oktoberfest and it's never leaving. So Elvira but Oktoberfest would be best.

My impression is that OKT is a very bad game for route. Long ball times (like REALLY long) are fun for a player possibly but often dont hold long term player attention and also mean less coin drop. I played OKT a few times and my game times were averaging 10+min.

I think there are better options for cheaper for the location in question.

likely

Quoted from kermit24:

This 100%. JP is killing it on route right now. The answer to the OP is none of the above.

every brand new game will have a honeymoon phase on route. Only time will tell if JP2 is a longer term earner.
I can tell you that WONKA (and the other JJP games appears to always hold their own for the longer haul; I mean there is a reason that DI and WOZ are often found on route after all these years... they earn the spot)

Quoted from PinMonk:

Not always. Dialed In and Hobbit fell off sharply and were canned on the route I help with. WoZ and jjPotC are still there. jjPotC is earning literally 2x the next best pin (Deadpool) consistently after 9 months. That's unheard of, especially at $1.50/play with 4 balls.

every region and location will be different.

Hobbit failed miserably (too long of ball times and too much stuff to break IMHO), but DI has been a solid earner from the start and a game I would suggest to anyone.

At present GB .Deadpool,BK,Star wars Hobbit,Star Trek and a restored AFM

you need another classic IMHO.

esp a .50er
