    Quoted from indypinhead:

    IMO...
JJP will be the first to fall, followed by Stern
When the dust settles, PPS will be the only one standing.
    Reasons:
    JJP....less than honest.
Stern...poor quality, no finished codes, lack of concern for the home buyer market.

    Stern isn't going to fail.

PPS will fail when it runs out of a the few 90's Williams games worth remaking. That's not innovation.

    Quoted from DCFAN:

PPS does not seem to be worried because the only failure they could have is for the game they remake not to sell. They can and likely will make the remakes of the games that will sell and then walk away with their profits. They have another existing company doing a good part of the labor and factory setup so they have very little risk in my opinion.

Wasn't saying they'd fail as a company....just the remake business will run dry.

    Quoted from Purpledrilmonkey:

Yeah, PPS will run out of games but that's not failure. That's quitting while ahead.

    Your opinion.....

    Quoted from Purpledrilmonkey:

If you call it failure what would be 'success'? They have to produce machines until the end of time?
They aren't a pinball manufacturer, they are a license holder. They would have to hire playfield designers, artists, engineers, etc... to continue past their licenses. So far they haven't indicated this is at all their desire.

your quiting while ahead comment is what I was referring to.

    Quoted from iceman44:

Cool, hopefully that's a good thing and it will work but sometimes outside forces dictate and those things don't work out in the corporate world......JC Penny was supposedly in good hands with the Apple guy that nearly took the company down in a year.
Those "private equity" guys are NEVER in it for the long haul, pump up production and profits and then sell, hence 6 pins in 18 months, like I said, I really hope it works!

It will take more than a year to change JC Penny. The board didn't give him enough time. so it's back to inflated prices with coupons....
