I need to replace a TIP122 transistor, but all I have on hand are TIP102 transistors. Will this work? What is different? Marco specialties says you can sub a 102 for a 122. Just want to double check with you guys before I fry my board. This is on a Sega Goldeneye power driver board. Thanks!

TIP102 is the heavier duty transistor .

Use it with confidence.

Also, 1/3 the price at GPE:

(buy a bunch, almost every game uses them)
