Can a 520-5047-00 Power Supply board be used in a Rocky & Bullwinkle? (The R&B uses the 520-5047-01).

If not, would it be possible to replace some of the board components in order to make it work? I have an extra -00 board and need to rebuild the high voltage section anyway.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

I can vouch for the x-pin board. I have one installed in my Bullwinkle machine, and it works fantastic. It's easier to install thanks to the hang-tabs, and is significantly lighter without the giant heat sink on it.

According to the schematics, there are about 11 components that are different between the -00 and -01, mainly around the HV section as described in the link Nifty provided above. Some you can't even install since the underlying PCB is not the same. For example you couldn't add a MJE15030 to the -00 board for the -98v - you'd be driving both the -110 and -98v lines off a single power transistor. Ok for the small display but probably not good long term for the larger display.

Could you do it? Yep. Personally, I wouldn't.
