While I wait for a new TAF flipper control board, my CFTBL is already out of service until I finish shopping it. I noticed the new replacement board for TAF is the same for CFTBL also. So can I take the original flipper control board from CFTBL and put into my TAF safely? That way I can have at least one operational pin while I wait. The CFTBL is a little larger but has all the same inputs (just in slightly different locations). Here's a pic of the 2 boards, TAF on the right, CFTBL on the left.

A lot of useful info there, thanks for posting. It does say they are backwards compatible, but it doesn't say it's plug and play (I assume it is, but you know what that gets you). I just wonder if I need to do anything thing like bypass the rectifier on the fliptronics II board, or cut the wire where the fliptronics I gets the rectified voltage from the power driver board.

The only question I have left about this is, Does the J801 4-pin female plug need to be plugged into J901 5-pin male connector? If so, the J901 connector has one pin of the 5 missing, so only three of J801 4-wires can be connected. Can't seem to find any info on an actual conversion other than this;
Using a Fliptronics_II board in an Addams Family:
Fliptronics_II J902 = Fliptronics_I J802
Fliptronics_II J905 = Fliptronics_I J805
Fliptronics_II J906 = Fliptronics_I J806
Fliptronics_II J904 = Fliptronics_I J804
Fliptronics_II J903 = Fliptronics_I J803 (ribbon cable)
Fliptronics_II connectors not used: J901, J907
Using a Fliptronics_II board in an Addams Family.
Power Driver board (only pertaining to flipper power section):
J111 - Remove connector (disconnect) and do no use
J112 - Leave connector
J110 - Leave connector
J109 - Leave connector
Using a Fliptronics_II board in an Addams Family.
Flipper Power Board board (small board, backbox middle right side):
J901 - Leave connector
J902 - Leave connector
J903 - Leave connector

I did not use the J901 on the fliptronics 2 board, but when I pushed the right flipper button nothing happens, and when I push the left button the upper right flipper engages??? Not sure what's going on. Can anyone help, just want to play my pin. Having a pin I can't play when I'm snowed in is like torture, lol.
