    Hi guys!
Can i use an older colordmd meant for a wh20 in my acdc pro vault edition. I know i need the spacer kit as well as the clear screen... but has anyone done this before?
looks like the newer colordmds get power using a molex connector near the coin door, but the older ones connect to a motherboard slot in the backbox...

Also will it require me to update the colordmd via usb stick loaded with the newest code?

    Thx guys!!

I believe you need to get a different harness for power as well. You
Can probably order it from ColorDMD.com if you email them

The wiring difference isn't newer VS older, it's WPC vs Stern. You need the other harness.

if im not mistaken you will need to download the acdc ROM files from colordmd's website. then flash the acdc code on it.

In addition to the SAM/WS cable kit, you'll also need the clear shield and standoffs to mount to the metal speaker panel.

Depending on how old the ColorDMD is, it might also need an updated mounting bracket. We changed the bracket after IM vault to accommodate the sloped metal speaker panel. You can tell if it's a newer bracket by looking at the sides of the bracket... The new brackets have mounting holes near the bottom edge of the display and the small screws are located at the top and center of the LCD screen (rather than top and bottom).

All parts needed are available on the ACCESSORIES page of our store site.

And of course, set it for SAM. It will be scrambled when you put it in until you set it for the correct game architecture.
