This grunge seems to be deep in small grooves which look suspiciously like wood grain. Alcohol cleaned up some of it but magic pads are a no go due to age and quality of the finish. I tried a small spot and results are bad. I'm afraid to use anything abrasive....
Any suggestions?

A playfield that's a little dirty is sure a lot better than a playfield that you took the paint off of with ME & alcohol. Rules to live by.
