How or can I attach pics to a message sent through Pinside Pinmail?

    #2 9 years ago

You cannot, I was actually just looking for it myself and contemplating messaging Robin about it.

    I wish it were possible

You can put them on imgur, or in a dropbox and include the links.

Too many extra steps, my time is extremely valuable.

Just request an outside email address from the person you want to send photos to.

I use Photobucket. I upload them once and then anytime anyone asks for pictures I just send them the link.

I would second an interest in having photo attachment capability in Pinmail. Is this possible, Robin, or would it be a strain on bandwidth, coding time, etc? Outside of that issue, you've done a truly bang-up job with the site!

Funny how this topic just popped up. I was just trying to attach images to a PM myself! It would be great capability.

Maybe this would seem silly to some and no offense to this site, but why not just do away with Pinside email and just have it where when you click on someone's avatar to PM it goes to there regular email automatically? It would save the hassle of going back and forth with emails and then having to switch over to regular emails once you want to send pictures. Plus it would be one less email account everyone would have to keep up with and not have to bounce back and forth.

Also how about a automatic spell check on the site? I know I could really use it.

I'd rather protect my email unless I choose to give it out. I suspect most people feel the same. I get an email when I get a PM, but you don't see my email address.

Just about every modern browser on the planet should have a spell check. What OS and browser are you using?

    Agreed.

    Not me!

    #15 9 years ago

Yeah, I was trying to shoot pics over to someone recently, and had to resort to an image hosting service. It's an annoying extra step. On the other hand, shifting the conversation over to email breaks the flow of the conversation.

Attaching images to PMs would be a nice additional feature

They have made it a Pinside+ feature that can be done if you donate

I would take a Grammer checker too for all the Grammer police on this site!

    Correct Pinside+ provides this feature.
I'm surprised the Mod didn't know that. Mod's don't get Pinside+ for free?

5 years ago, it was neither a feature, nor was I a mod

    Yay for thread necromancy
