Four feet high or about one meter for the weirdos

    #5 1 year ago

    A 1 meter = 39.37"

Do you realize how much a 4' high post would weigh ?

This is a light pole base.
It is only 2 feet tall though....
    Just brainstorming.

Clearly, OP wants to recreate the Stewie Pinball scene.

Perhaps reaching out to Andrew at Twisted Quarter...??

    http://www.twistedquarter.com/

He makes molds of Posts, needing volume
or Print on demand..I believe there are CAD files of Posts that can be easily adjusted.

For a minute, I thought we might be headed for a pinball version of this:

    Seriously...4 feet?

Cut from Architectural foam, and coat?

    #13 1 year ago

    How many do you need?

I want giant slingshot plastic tables

This made me think of fiberglass molds. This place still makes such things.

Talk to the folks at Stern, they might have an idea since they did the big flippers for CES 2017.

Contact a foam shop. A mold could be made, if designed right, a metal post could slide through the middle to support the table top.

You might have to have a minimum amount made. You could sell the extra ones to Pinsiders. Even a single one, in a corner of a game room could look real good.

Maybe you can flip these over and modify them to work: Its going to be tough to find a Rubber Ring to fit!

I know someone that could mold and cast something that big, but it would be $$$$$$ for that kind of build.

Brain storming. Maybe easier with 3 pieces. Base, middle and top.

I was thinking along the same lines, start with a flat circle, turn some corrugated roofing into the faceted tower, and who knows what for the top.

The rigid foam idea wins this all day on cost... durability can be an issue but this is a cool idea for a public space.. would not want it in my home but this would be sweet in a bar/restaurant. Great idea.
